Introduction
------------
Thank you all for using Today and for all the mails I've gotten. However, I feel I must
clarify how I see this application. I've made it primarily for my own use and to be able
to learn how to program the Palm OS. I also (for fun) uploaded it on PalmGear to share
my work with other interested Palm owners. I had never any intention of making it a
"product" and I don't have unlimited time to fix bugs and make new features.

Most of the mails have been very kind with lots of superb suggestions. I like this very
much! Unfortunately, some of the mails have very strongly DEMANDED that I fix a bug or
implement their most wanted function. This is NOT something I like. I give away Today for
free with no guarantees of a bug-free software. I implement the functions that I need.

This doesn't mean that I do not want mails with suggestion. Please, continue to send them
to me. However, I can't promise to fix a bug or a new feature at once. I might very well
do it, but it may take a month or two. Or, it simply won't be fixed at all. If you have
a problem with this, buy a commersial software instead.

Sorry to all persons who have writted e-mails to me without getting any answer.

Hope you understand!

/Jonas

Donations
---------
This software is still freeware and you can continue to use it without any fees. However, to keep my attention on the
development of the product, I'd like a little donation once in a while. I'm accually saving to get a Tungsten T since
I can't test my PalmOS 5 version in a real device without one. If you feel that this is a useful product and you would
like to donate a little something to help me, go to http://www.paypal.com and send some money to today@glocalnet.net.

So far these persons have supported the development financially:

Rick Born

1.8 (12/29/02) - PalmOS 5 ready (including hi-res), VersaMail support, opaque analog clock on background, configurable text color, next meeting countdown, alarm flag for events, more task information and background image behind launcher.
2.0 (12/29/03) - Removed hires background from the program itself to decrease the size, added month view and configurable opaque clock.
2.1 (1/2/04) - Added week view.

Opaque background clock
-----------------------
Due to limited colors and processor capacity, I only recommend to use this feature if you have a PalmOS 5 device
with the ARM-processor and 16-bit color display. The clock is drawn on the background in a white shade in the upper
right corner. This means that it will only be seen if that area is not all white.

In version 2.0 the size, position and opacity of the clock are configurable. Use the Skins dialog to do this. The values are given in pixels (ask your nearest programmer, if you don't know what a pixel is). Beware: If you increase the size
very much, the clock will take a *very* long time to calculate on a standard Palm.

Official URL
------------
The latest version of Today can always be found at http://www.palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?prodID=38922
Please note that the version doesn't change if I release a bug fix (according to PalmGear's rules) and if you discover
a bug in Today, please download a copy from PalmGear and try it before reporting it to me.

Skins
-----
I only supply a couple of skins to show how they can look. You're more than welcome to do your own skins for Today.
Use the supplied tempate in the folder "MyTodaySKin". Read the readme.txt file for details. If you don't
succeed to compile the skin yourself, please send me the bitmaps and I'll do it for you (if I have the time).

Installation
------------
You only need the Today.prc file to run the application. The skins are available if you want them. Since version 1.7 they can be removed without
deleting the entrie application.

To get the same hires background as in Today 1.8, also transfer DefaultSkinWithBackground.pdb to your Palm and select this in the Skins dialog.
