Shafali Verma was supposed to be the player that lights up the Hundred but she has not been able to perform up t expectations. The previous inning where she smashed 76 off just 42 deliveries gave us a glimpse of what she can do at her best.
If she gets in and gets going then the game could swing the way of Birmingham Phoenix very quickly. We don’t think she is going to score too many runs in this match, though. Her contest against Sammy-Jo Johnson is going to be that decides the eventual outcome.
Evelyn Jones also scored a fifty in the previous match and can be seen as a dangerous batter. The rest of the batting has struggled in the Hundred so far and we don’t think you should jump on the bandwagon after just one good inning.
There are a number of question marks and risks over the Birmingham Phoenix batting lineup.
Kristie Gordon and Erin Burns will lead the bowling attack for Birmingham Phoenix. The bowling lineup is also a notch weaker than what the Trent Rockets have. We have seen the Birmingham Phoenix bowling lineup struggle to keep the runs down and to pick up wickets.
