Minster Dhaka picked up its first win of the Bangladesh Premier League 2021-22 season as it got past Fortune Barishal quite easily. It is now going to be playing against the Sylhet Sunrisers, a team that differed a massive loss in its first match. Can the Sylhet Sunrisers get on the board in this match as well?

The Sylhet Sunrisers were bowled out for just 96 in their opening match of BPL 2022 and the fear that the batting could let the Sunrisers down came true. Colin Ingram and Ravi Bopara were the two overseas players that were picked to strengthen the top order but they both failed. Ingram could struggle in the Bangladeshi conditions and Bopara has been out of top-class cricket for quite some time now.
This puts pressure on the Bangladeshi batsmen in the lineup and they are not the strongest either.
Unfortunately for the Sylhet Sunrisers, we just don't see their batting problems end just yet.
What was commendable was the fact that the Sylhet Sunrisers managed to pick up 8 wickets in defense of their total of 96. That bowling performance will raise hopes for the future as the BPL can often be a low-scoring affair after the initial week or so.
Mosaddek Hossain and Sohag Gazi picked up two wickets while Nazmul Islam topped the bowling charts with three wickets to his name. The bowling unit is going to be tested once more as it takes on the strong batting lineup of Minster Dhaka in this match but we do think there is something for the SUnrisers to build on here.

Minster Dhaka was reduced to 10 for 4 in under three overs in a chase of 130. That would have sent the alarm bells ringing in the team but thankfully, Mahmudullah, Andre Russell, and Shuvagata Hom all kept their head to guide the team home without any fuss.
The depth in the batting lineup came to the rescue for Minster Dhaka and that is an advantage that it will enjoy over the Sylhet Sunrisers as well. Of course, you cannot count out the top-order batters just yet. Tamim Iqbal, Mohammad Shahzad, and Mohammad Naim are all capable of scoring big runs as well.
Even after a top-order collapse in the previous match, we would rate Minster Dhaka as the stronger batting lineup by far.
Rubel Hossain has been in good form and has performed in all three matches that he has played. Thankfully for Minster Dhaka, even Isuru Udana and Andre Russell bowled very well. This meant that Minster Dhaka could keep their opponents to a low total in the previous match.
Minster Dhaka's batting lineup is one of the best in all of BPL 2022 and now that its bowling lineup is coming together, it is going to be tough to stop.

The conditions in Dhaka remain quite good for cricket. There is no rain forecast and the pitch is not going to change much either. The surface has been slow, helpful for the spinners, and challenging for the batters so far. That is exactly what we expect in this next match as well. Maximizing the powerplay has to be a priority for all teams even if they lose a couple of wickets in the process. The average score should be around 140.
