With a sensational over, Sarfraz Ahmed changed the match on its head. While he is going to be a massive factor if RCB wins, the match was earlier setup by Glenn Maxwell. For that reason, Maxwell is our pick to be the man of the match.
This is a difficult surface to bat on and even the well-set batsmen are not truly set. Having said that, the overs of spinners are already done and Maxwell is likely to face fast bowlers hereon. He is an excellent player of quick bowling and looks good to score a fifty.
Virat Kohli is now set and he generally goes on to play big knock once set. There's plenty of time left in the innings and Virat Kohli should get enough number of balls to still pace his innings. He should easily notch a fifty-plus score in this match.
RCB have already lost a wicket and are under-pressure and might lose another one in a quest to score quickly. Sarfraz Ahmed is a new man in and is not as experienced as Kohli in dealing with pressure-cooker situations. Considering that, we expect that next wicket down will be of Ahmed.

We are not even a week into the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League and we have already seen three cracking contests. Royals Challengers Bangalore registered a last-ball win over Mumbai Indians to kick-start their campaign. Sunrisers Hyderabad, on the other hand, narrowly missed out on a win by 10 runs.
The two teams are now set to take on each other in the sixth IPL match, which will be played at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, on the evening of 14th April. Historically, the Sunrisers have fared better than the Royals Challengers, but with a new-look side and a win under their belt, RCB will be brimming with confidence. As have the other matches been, we expect this one to go right down to the wire as well.
With a decent performance in the second half of their first match, the Sunrisers managed to reduce the margin of the defeat, but they will have a lot of work to do going into the second match. Their combinations and batting order seemed off in the first match and that is something that will be under scrutiny in this upcoming clash.
Even though they lost the match, there were plenty of positives to take home from their match against KKR. With the form they both looked in, Jonny Bairstow and Manish Pandey could be the two players to watch out for the Sunrisers in the season going forward. Having said that, they both were unable to accelerate when they so desperately wanted to and SRH might look to promote Abdul Samad as a pinch hitter going forward.
David Warner was dismissed cheaply but neither the management nor Warner would be worried yet. He got a peach of a delivery and is expected to bounce back strongly in the upcoming match. The good thing about Sunrisers' batting is that they bat deep with Bhuvneshwar Kumar coming in at number nine. Besides, they have a terrific bowling unit, which we expect to improve further as the tournament progresses.
In the first match, it was strange to see Jonny Bairstow bat in the middle-order, considering that they have Kane Williamson available to play that role. They are unlikely to make a change early, but if things do not work out for them, we might see Williamson come into the side sooner rather than later. Overall, the Sunrisers are a decent unit and if they can find some solution to the lack of hitting power in the middle-order, they will be a tough unit to deal with.
David Warner, WP Saha, Manish Pandey, Jonny Bairstow, V Shankar, Jason Holder, Abdul Samad, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shahbaz Nadeem, T Natarajan.
The win over Mumbai Indians for RCB pretty much summed up the history in IPL. They have always had a brilliant side, have been unpredictable, but have never done justice to the talent they've had on paper. The same was evident in the last match as well - they always looked ahead in their chase, then managed to mess it up, before eventually crossing the line in the last over.
Beating Mumbai Indians has never been easy in the history of the tournament and the fact that RCB did so will certainly add to their confidence. Both their expensive picks of the auction justified their price tags as Glenn Maxwell provided the impetus to their innings and Kyle Jamieson bowled beautifully at the death as well as at the beginning of Mumbai's innings.
The good thing about the Challengers is that they now looked better balanced as compared to how they did in the last season. The presence of Harshal Patel and Kyle Jamieson add depth to their batting order without taking anything away from their bowling. Also, the fact that the likes of Glenn Maxwell, Shahbaz Ahmed, Dan Christian, and Washington Sundar are all more than capable of rolling their arm, Virat Kohli is equipped with plenty of options with the ball. Yuzvendra Chahal's form, however, will certainly be a concerning factor, which can wipe out RCB's plans if not addressed early.
Royal Challengers Bangalore always had a terrific batting unit and if anything, it has only gained in stature this year with the addition of Glenn Maxwell. In the second match, we expect Devdutt Padikkal to make a return at the top of the order and that will further strengthen their batting unit. All their stalwarts have shown good form and getting past them is going to take a colossal effort.
V Kohli, Devdutt Padikal, AB de Villiers, Glenn Maxwell, DT Christian, Washington Sundar, Shahbaz Ahmed, Kyle Jamieson, Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj, YS Chahal.
Chennai is one venue where the toss doesn't play a major role. We have already seen that as the first match here was won by the chasing team whereas Mumbai Indians defended an under-par total in the second match. Having said that, the nature of the format is such that there is a wee bit of advantage in chasing. For that reason, we expect the captain to win the toss to bowl first.

The two venues to have featured in the tournament thus far have produced contrasting results. While Mumbai has been a belter with almost 200 runs chased down twice, batting hasn't been as easy at Chennai. We saw Mumbai Indians defend an average total here and both RCB and SRH would be taking cues from that. Dew is unlikely to make as much a difference as it does in Mumbai and spinners generally enjoy more success at this venue. In the two matches played thus far, totals have hovered around 160 and that will be an about par score in the upcoming match as well. The team batting first should be looking to put at least 10-15 runs above par and if they manage to do that, they would be in driving seat.

Even though the two sides are coming off contrasting results in their previous respective matches, it is a game of significant importance for both sides. Royals Challengers Bangalore would want to garner some momentum by winning the second match in a row. Sunrisers Hyderabad, on the other hand, will be desperate to kick off their campaign. Both sides are going to come in all guns blazing and the team that holds its nerves better is likely to come out on top. Comparing the two, Royal Challengers Bangalore look slightly better-balanced with the presence of experienced players right through their lineup. For that reason, they are our pick to emerge victorious in the sixth IPL match.
Even though Virat Kohli could not carry his bat in the first match, he certainly did look good at one point. He has been in stupendous form in recent times and opening the innings allows him the maximum time to score runs. There will be a lot less pressure on him with Devdutt Padikkal back. For those reasons, we expect him to outscore everyone else in his team in the upcoming match.
Manish Pandey and Glenn Maxwell may be the two players with contrasting approaches, but they both did reasonably well in their previous respective outings. Glenn Maxwell was at his destructive best whereas Manish Pandey played a decent sheet-anchor role. Both of them will be pretty confident going into this upcoming match and they should each manage to hit a six pretty easily. This is not only a relatively safe bet but also the one offering decent returns.
Rashid Khan is the only bowler in the tournament that almost the entire batting of the Challengers have had some trouble facing at some stage. Glenn Maxwell scores at less than a run a ball and Khan has controlled Kohli and de Villiers pretty well too. Considering that the surface will be conducive for spin bowling, a punt on Rashid Khan to be the top bowler for the Sunrisers seems a lucrative option.
