Mumbai Indians have a very strong bowling lineup and we think they have no option but to attack
Mayank Aggarwal is a fast starter but he is playing on a difficult pitch and could lose his wicket early.

IPL 2021 continues to churn out close matches one after the other and while Chennai does not allow for traditional high-scoring matches, we think the low-scoring ones are very exciting as well. The next match is going to be played between the Punjab Kings and the Mumbai Indians.
Both these teams have had a rocky start to IPL 2021 and come into this match with a loss in their previous outing. Punjab Kings managed to win its first match but has since its next three and everyone in the camp would be getting a bit edgy.
Mumbai Indians are a lot more experienced and used to success in the IPL, however, two losses from their first four matches is not ideal and they would know they need to improve.
This is the penultimate match that is scheduled to be played at Chennai in IPL 2021.
Punjab Kings vs Mumbai Indians IPL 2021 is going to be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on the 23rd of April 2021.
Punjab Kings played their first match in Chennai against the Sunrisers Hyderabad and found the going very tough. The batting suffered a collapse once more and it was only due to the efforts of Shahrukh Khan down the order that the team managed to reach 120.
We knew that the Punjab Kings batting lineup is not well-suited to the spin-friendly conditions in Chennai but 120 was a poor effort even then. Also, Punjab Kings had dropped its two overseas fast bowlers to lengthen the batting lineup but that did not prove to be any good.
They are in a tough position but we don’t think they can chop and change after every match. Maybe someone like Sarafarz Khan could find a place in the batting lineup to help score against spin but that is about it.
For some reason, Ravi Bishnoi is not in the scheme of things even after doing quite well in the previous IPL season. He could have been a handful on the Chennai wicket. Maybe he gets a chance in this next match in place of the underwhelming M Ashwin.
Punjab Kings has a problem with its batting lineup and its bowling is not firing either. This puts it in a very tough place going into the next match and we think it is going to take something exceptional for it to be able to turn things around in Chennai.

The Mumbai Indians setup is strong that any match it loses comes as a surprise. Conditions in Chennai are not to its liking but we think Mumbai would expect a bit better of its players nonetheless. A great start saw Mumbai Indians at 76 for 2 in 8.3 overs against Delhi Capitals after which things just unraveled. Injudicious shots and an inability to play according to the situation saw Mumbai Indians limp to 137 and while they made a fight of it, they could not defend it.
The biggest weakness for Mumbai Indians has been its middle-order that has not been able to take advantage of the starts that the team has got. Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Ishan Kishan, and Krunal Pandya are all international players that specialize in this role so the lack of performances has been a bit unusual.
Still, a few bad performances do not make Mumbai Indians a weak team. We also think the team management is going to avoid making any changes and keep the batting order stable.
The bowling attack for Mumbai Indians is world-class. Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah have been brilliant at the death, Rahul Chahar has picked up wickets in almost every match, and even Krunal Pandya has been quite effective. The role of the third seamer was given to Adam Milne before he was dropped against Delhi Capitals.
We think there is every chance of Adam Milne making a comeback to the side for this match.

The team that has won the toss has looked to bat first in Chennai although the previous two matches have now been won by chasing teams. With dew making an appearance in the last two matches, chasing may be back on the menu once more.

The conditions in Chennai are extremely in favor of the spinners. Even the fast bowlers concentrate on their cutters and slower-balls to get wickets. The batsmen have been able to score against the new ball but things change around the tenth over.

Punjab Kings is a team with too many problems at the moment. Also, we firmly believe that the conditions in Chennai are going to be very difficult for it to adjust to. Mumbai Indians may not have been as fluent and ruthless as we are used to seeing them but the team is still very strong. It has a better batting lineup and a vastly better bowling unit than the Punjab Kings in our opinion.
Bet on Mumbai Indians to win
Punjab Kings tend to start slow with KL Rahul at the top. They are also struggling for form. MI, ont he other hand, has Rohit Sharna, Quinton de Kock, and Suryakumar Yadav to call upon. An easy option in our opinion!
Chennai is a tough venue to score runs and we have seen team struggle to get to 150. If the top two or three players get out before scoring a fifty then you could very well win this bet. A risky bet by nature but the payoff make it worth your while.
