The Big Bash League 2021-22 season is back after a few days off and we have the Perth Scorchers taking on the Hobart Hurricanes. We saw the Perth Scorchers play their strongest eleven for the first time in BBL 2021-22 in the previous match. Mitchell Marsh, Tymal Mills, and Josh Inglis all found a place in the playing eleven and made an immediate impact. Mitchell Marsh scored the most runs, Tymal Mills picked up the most wickets, and the Perth Scorchers were just rampant.
In this next match at home, we expect them to flex their batting muscles once more. Colin Munro, Mitchell Marsh, Josh Inglis, Ashton Turner, and a number of excellent lower-order batsmen allow the Perth Scorchers to play with freedom. In Perth, with the ball coming onto the bat, you can expect a couple of these batsmen to really get stuck into the opposition.
The bowling attack for the Perth Scorchers is also fantastic. Tymal Mills adds a genuine pace-bowling option that can bowl at the death as well but even before he joined the team, Jason Behrendorff, Andrew Tye, Peter Hatzglou, and Ashton Agar formed a terrific lineup.
There is enough depth here to consistently keep the pressure on the opposition.

The Hobart Hurricanes are also a very strong batting lineup. Matthew Wade has already given us a glimpse of his best while Darcy Short is one of the most consistent BBL batsmen ever. Caleb Jewell, Ben McDermott, and Harry Brooks add a lot of power and depth to the middle-order.
The one player that we think could be a surprise package is Tim David. He is a superb smasher of the ball and can clear the boundaries with ease. The Hurricanes can certainly out-bat most teams but they are up against one of the best bowling attacks in the BBL in this match.
Nathan Ellis is going to lead the bowling lineup for the Hobart Hurricanes. He is a very good exponent of the slower ball and is a good option for the Top Bowler Hobart Hurricanes betting market. Sandeep Lamichhane, Joel Paris, Scott Boland, and Darcy Short are all good bowlers but we just don't think they match up very well against the Perth Scorchers.

The pitch at Perth Stadium is not going to change over the course of this match. It is going to be fast, bouncy, and flat for the entire 40 overs. This will allow the batsmen to play their shots but also the bowlers to have a chance to fight back. Scores tend to be very high or very low at this venue as the team that gains momentum early can be hard to stop.
We think something around 170 should be seen as par for the venue.
