IPL 2022 has been pretty fun so far with almost all the teams pretty evenly matched. The Punjab Kings came into the tournament with a blockbuster T20 squad and a very aggressive approach while the Chennai Super Kings came in with a squad that was aging and perhaps past its prime. PBKS was trounced by DC on a pitch that offered a little bit of help to the spinners. Considering the fact that this is going to be the third match at the Wankhede in four days, we could see some spin on offer once more. There are a couple of questions regarding team balance that PBKS needs to answer.
Do they want to continue playing two overseas bowlers in Rabada and Ellis or would they like to add some batting cushion by including an all-rounder? Also, Jonny Bairstow is struggling for form so far and Bhanuka Rajapaksa must surely be getting impatient sitting outside! How long till Mayank Aggarwal is forced to make that swap?
The dependency of PBKS on Liam Livingstone is a bit concerning because he could also struggle once the wickets start to turn a bit. Currently, there have been five 50+ scores hit by PBKS, three of those coming from Livingstone's bat. He has 226 runs in total and while Dhawan also has 214, the difference in strike rate is amazing.
Jitesh Sharma has been in good form and could be one of the underrated players to place a bet on.
Rabada and Chahar are the two bowlers that have had the most success for PBKS so far. You should choose between one of these two for the Top Bowler Punjab Kings betting market. With Arshdeep Singh, Vaibhav Arora, and Nathan Ellis in the lineup, PBKS has a decent bowling unit but it is not one that is going to run through sides too often.

CSK came back from the dead to win against MI thanks to the brilliance of MS Dhoni at the death. That brought them their second win of IPL 2022 and with the table being so closely packed, they certainly have a chance of making it into the playoffs.
CSK's batting lineup is also a bit thin and absolutely needs its top order to fire. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Robin Uthappa have not been to score in unison this season although both of them have shown sparks of form. Uthappa, in particular, is making the most of batting at the top and has the most runs for CSK this season.
In the previous match, Santner, Rayadu, Dube, and Jadeja batted for CSK in the middle order. This is not a good batting lineup and can be put under pressure. There is a lack of power and with three out of the four being left-handers, not enough room to plan for matchups either.
From a betting perspective, we would bet on Shivam Dube to hit a six and on Ambati Rayadu to score some runs. Thankfully for CSK, Dhoni is playing well and so he adds depth to the lineup alongside Pretorius and Bravo.
CSK's batting lineup is very different from PBKS in the way it has been assembled but if the pitch starts to take turn, CSK could be right in the mix.
The bowling is where we think CSK is going to get the better of PBKS in this match. Theekshana, Santner, Bravo, and even Pretorius are excellent at taking the pace off and using whatever grip the surface offers. They will be well aware of the struggles that PBKS had against DC and will look to exploit it.
A lot of spin and change of pace is on the menu when CSK bowls. You could look to bet on Dwayne Bravo or Maheesh Theekshana for the Top Bowler Chennai Super Kings betting market.

While the pitches being used may be different, they are so close to each other that they will be affected as well. We are going to bet on the Chennai Super Kings to win. We think they have a lineup that matches up quite well to the Punjab Kings. With a number of selection headaches and some issues of form weighing them down, PBKS may question its risk-filled strategy as well as the personnel it is playing with. That is not a good position to be in against a master tactician like Dhoni on a surface where spin could play a big role.

Jitesh Sharma has 122 runs in five innings, an average of over 30 right now. He is in good form and seems to have a decent game against both the spinners and the fast bowlers. His Over/Under line is very attractive and worth a punt.
Two batting lineups that have struggled recently are going to go up against each other in this match. You need just two batsmen to fall for a zero to get more than 2.5x returns. This is a high-risk bet but the returns makes it worth it in our opinion.
Dube has cleared the boundaries 14 times, the most for any CSK batsman in IPL 2022 so far. With a license to play freely, we can easily seem him adding to his tally of sixes in this match.
