The Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi are going to be playing against each other for the second time in PSL 2022 as the action now shifts to Lahore. The Multan Sultans have been the team of the tournament so far. They have played and won all five of their matches putting them right at the top of the PSL League table right now.
Peshawar Zalmi has won just two out of the five matches it has played and is currently second from the bottom. There are still five matches for each team to play, though, and a lot can change.
The cricket betting sites are all backing the Multan Sultans to win this match and are offering shorter odds on them. Let us have a look at both teams.
Match prediction and cricket betting tips for Multan Sultans vs Peshawar Zalmi PSL 2022. The match is going to be played at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on the 10th of February 2022.
There has not been a better batting team in PSL 2022 than the Multan Sultans. Shan Masood and Mohammad Rizwan have been great form with 275 and 215 runs to their names respectively while Tim David has been the power-player that every team would dream of.
David has smashed 163 runs at a strike rate of 211.68 with 15 sixes to his name already (that is the joint-highest in PSL 2022 right now).
Khushdil Shah, Rilee Rossouw, and Sohaib Maqsood have all performed quite well also in the chances that they have got.
Not a single batsman is out of form and this makes the Multan Sultans the stronger batting team no matter who their opponent is!
The bowling lineup has been led by Imran Tahir, David Willey, and Khushdiul Shah! They have made good use of the slow conditions in Karachi but that could change in Lahore. A new surface should provide a bit more pace to work with and that will make the spinners less effective.
Shahnawaz Dahani has had a disappointing PSL 7 after the success he enjoyed in PSL 6.
The Multan Sultans are in tremendous form but we think their bowling is still a bit suspect and can be targeted.
Shan Masood, Mohammad Rizwan, Sohaib Maqsood, Rilee Rossouw, Tim David, Khushdil Shah, Anwar Ali, Abbas Afridi, Imran Tahir, Blessing Muzarabani, Shahnawaz Dhani.
Peshawar Zalmi has not quite had the kind of PSL that it would have liked. We actually think it has a very strong lineup as well, however, the performances have not quite matched up to expectations. They have now added Hazratullah Zazai to the top of the order alongside Kamran Akmal.
Despite the PSL legend that he is, we don't think Akmal really deserves a place in the playing eleven anymore.
Haider Ali, Shoaib Malik, Sherfane Rutherford, and Ben Cutting form a strong core of the lineup. We do think that Rutherford and Cutting could be providing a lot more explosiveness like Tim David if they were given chances slightly higher up.
A good batting lineup overall but one that is struggling for form and some of the players are playing out of position.
Wahab Riaz is another one of those bowlers that is having a real shocker in PSL 7. He has the ability to be a match-winner but he is just so expensive on his bad days that his place comes under the scanner. The addition of Saqib Mahmood did not prove to be of much use either as he was also quite expensive in the previous match.
Peshawar Zalmi seems to be having a tough time keeping the runs down and that is a bad position to be in against a team like the Multan Sultans.
Kamran Akmal, Liam Livingstone, Haider Ali, Shoaib Malik, Sherfane Rutherford, Ben Cutting, Wahab Riaz, Saqib Mahmood, Mohammad Umar, Hussain Talat, Salman Irshad.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to bat field first. This is a new pitch and chasing might be a big advantage under the lights when the ball comes on even better to the bat.

There is no rain forecast in Lahore and so we should have an uninterrupted match to enjoy. As far as the pitch goes, the Gaddafi Stadium is famous for producing flat pitches that are brilliant to bat on. The ball should come on nicely to the bat for this match and the outfield will be lightning fast as well.
All the ingredients for a high-scoring match are present.

We are going to stick with the favorites in this match and bet on the Multan Sultans to win. They have a stronger batting lineup with almost every single player in tremendous form. Neither side really has a very strong bowling lineup but we think Peshawar Zalmi is not in the kind of touch to take advantage of that.
Bet on the Multan Sultans to win.
One of the players of PSL 2022 so far, Tim David has been in terrific form. He is also used according to the situation and sent up the order if needed. We feel comfortable backing him to score more than 20.5 runs in this match.
No team has scored more sixes than the Multan Sultans in PSL 2022. Tim David alone has 15 and there are five other players with five or more sixes to their name. Peshawar Zalmi is a dangerous team but we don't think it is going to hit more sixes than the Multan Sultans.
To Score Fifty+ Runs
Haider Ali (4.50)
Batting at number three, Haider Ali has a good chance of scoring runs. He is another player that has managed to get starts in most of the matches and impressed during his time in the middle. This is a high-risk, high-reward bet worth considering.
