The Chepauk Super Gillies lost their opening match to the Nellai Royal Kings in the Super Over after the scores were tied during the regulation 20 overs. That was a match in which CSG was behind the game at almost every interval. It took a great deal of luck for the team to end up tying the match and we think they got the result they deserved in the end.
The two most impressive players for the Chepauk Super Gillies in the opening match were the two all-rounders, Sonu Yadav and Harish Kumar. Both of them bowled well and struck important blows in the middle. Both of them should play a very important role in this game also.
N Jagadeesan got a start but was run out backing up too far, an unfortunate but fair way to get out. He is the heart and soul of this batting unit and will certainly be looking to make a strong statement. We don't mind backing him to score runs in this match.
Gandhi, Sasidev, and a good core of all-rounders give the Chepauk Super Gillies a stronger batting lineup.
Sandeep Warrier is the leading bowler for the Super Gillies. He bowled with impressive pace and made things difficult for the batters with the new ball. Sonu Yadav was also not too bad although he ended up being a bit expensive towards the end.
