Women's Big Bash League is gearing up for a fantastic finish as all eight teams are still pretty much in contention to progress to the next round, at least mathematically. The tournament is set to resume after a three-day short break and the next fews days are going to be very exciting.

However, thanks to a string of poor performances in their last few matches, the Strikers Women have dropped down to the sixth spot on the ladder and need to do really well from here to qualify. Make no mistake, though - they are still pretty much in the tournament a win here will definitely strengthen their chances to qualify.
The Strikers Women are coming into this match on the back of three back to back losses and will be desperate to snap their losing streak. However, what workes to their advantage is that their recent loss was actually a thriller that could have gone either way and would not have dented the Strikers' confidence as much as one-sided wins can.
On paper, the Strikers have some terrific exponents of the game as well as the format. They are a little too over-reliant on the South African stalwarts in Dane van Niekert and Laura Wolvaardt, but they have delivered nonetheless. Apart from those two as well, they have decent set of players, who can win the match on their own when its their day. If the unknowns can impress for the Strikers in this upcoming match, the Stars Women will have their work cut out.
