Everything is on the line for Leicestershire and Yorkshire as they play their final group stage match of the T20 Blast 2022 season against each other. Both teams need to win their last match to try and find a place in the playoffs and so the stakes are quite high.

Leicestershire won a heart-stopping match against Northamptonshire in its previous match. That was its seventh win this season and with six losses as the other results, it is easy to see why inconsistency has been a massive problem for the team.
Ackerman was the leading scorer for the team in the previous match but overall, getting the runs needed to win has not been easy. Hill, Lilley, and Mulder are the other batters that will play a big role for Leicestershire but we think it is safe to say they are underpowered in the batting department in comparison to Yorkshire.
Naveen ul Haq has been the leading wicket-taker for Leicestershire as well as the entire T20 Blast. He is fantastic at the death with his mix of slower deliveries. Rehan Ahmed can also be quite difficult to hit and adds a bit of mystery to the bowling attack.
Callum Parkinson, Ben Mike, and Wiaan Mulder round out a solid bowling unit that does not have too many weaknesses.

Yorkshire fell short by 31 runs against Birmingham in a high-scoring match. Set a target of 238, Yorkshire gave it a go but 207 was not enough on the day. If you look at the team on paper, there is certainly more batting than Leicestershire to count on.
Adam Lyth, Finn Allen, and Dawid Malan form a very strong top-order followed by David Willey, Harry Brook, and Tom Kohler-Cadmore. These are six superb batters and we think you can count on at least one or two of them to have a good game once more. Of course, Shadab Khan is more than a useful all-rounder to just emphasize the length of the batting.
The bowling unit for Yorkshire is also quite good. Shadab Khan could be the mystery spinner that counters Rehan Ahmed while David Willey, Jordan Thompson, and Matthew Waite will take up the seam bowling duties. Add Dom Bess to the lineup and you have a lot of depth in this department as well.

There is a bit of rain in the area but the forecast does improve around the time that the match starts. The pitch at Leicester is balanced and generally offers some help to the bowlers but it is still not difficult for batting. The average scores here have been around 170 this season and that is what we expect a par score to be.
