Karnataka is going through a bit of a rebuilding phase right now as it looks to replace some of its senior and long-serving cricketers. The team has done relatively well and will be happy to have the services of most of its leading batsmen for this match.

In terms of batting strength, Karanataka is definitely well-served.
The bowling attack is going to be without Prasidh Krishna (away for national duty) and that is something that is going to affect them. Without him, Ronit More is the bowler that will lead the attack with Shreyas Gopal and K Gowtham for support.
The pace bowling attack seems to be a bit inexperienced and that is where Karnataka may find it difficult to pick up 20 wickets.

UP managed to make it to the Ranji Trophy knockouts after a terrific win against Maharashtra where they chased down 359. They come into this match as underdogs but will be happy to have almost all of their IPL stars available.
We are talking about Yash Dayal, Mohsin Khan, Priyam Garg, Akshdeep Nath, and Rinku Singh. All of these players have been with IPL sides in the recently completed IPL and most of them have done very well. Yash Dayal and Mohsin Khan were excellent with the new ball during the IPL and would like to continue that in the Ranji Trophy as well.
Both of them and Ankit Rajpoot are going to lead the attack for UP.
Rinku Singh and Priyan Garg both have over 300 runs in the Ranji Trophy 2021-22 so far and will lead the batting lineup.
If you just look at the quality of batting that is available to both teams, UP seems to be a bit behind Karnataka in this aspect. UP would ideally want to post a big total and then allow its bowlers enough time to pick up the wickets to get a first-inning lead or even a victory.

The conditions in Alur are expected to be good for cricket weather-wise for most of the day but there are some thunderstorms predicted during the tea session every day.
