The Multan Sultans finally broke the 100% winning record for chasing teams in PSL 2022 by winning their previous match against Quetta Gladiators after batting first. That was the third win in succession for Multan Sultans and it is firmly in the top spot at the moment.

Multan Sultans have won three out of the three matches they have played. Perhaps their win in the previous match against Quetta was the most impressive since it came while defending an average total. Also, Mohammad Rizwan got out for a duck and that was a huge test for the team.
Shan Masood led the way with the bat and was well supported by a powerful middle-order to ensure that the Multan Sultans got to a 170 plus total. Almost every single batsman in the lineup has now had quality time in the middle and can be said to be in good form.
We also think the six-hitting potential of Sohaib Maqsood, Tim David, and Khushdil Shah down the line is a tremendous asset to have.
The bowling for the Multan Sultans has been a bit patchy and this is where they will be tested in this match. Imran Khan and Shahnawz Dahani are both struggling to make an impact and have been very expensive so far.
David Willey had a good game in the previous match but the bulk of the work was done by Imran Tahir and Khushdil Shah. If Tahir has a bad day, we think the bowling lineup could really come under pressure.
