The Punjab Kings have a strong batting lineup as well. Their top-5 comprises all international players and so this is where the match-winning contributions have to come from most often. That has not happened. Mayank Aggarwal, Shikhar Dhawan, Jonny Bairstow, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, and Liam Livingstone have all played some brilliant knocks but none of them can say they have been as consistent as required.
The most important phase of the group matches begins now and the Punjab Kings will have to start finding their best lineup, ideal balance, and player combinations to start winning.
The bowling lineup for the Punjab Kings has been performing very well. Arshdeep Singh is the new go-to bowler at the death and even though he does not pick many wickets, he can be relied on to keep the runs down.
Rabada, Chahar, Arshdeep, and Sandeep Sharma should really be combining for more victories than they currently are.

The conditions in the DY Patil Stadium have also become a bit slower and spin-friendly. We saw that in the previous match played here between Rajasthan and Mumbai. However, the chasing team still got the benefit of the dew and it was a lot easier to bat in the second inning.
