SKK Stadin just cannot seem to get the better of Empire CC in the Finnish Premier League T20 2020. They have now lost three out of the three matches they ahve played against them and must beat GYM Helsinki Gymkhana to try and get a fourth chance to play against Empire CC.
SKK Stadin topped the group stage and so it gets another chance to make the final. HGCC played brilliant cricket against Helsinki Cricket Club during the Eliminator and now has a chance to carry that momentum and maybe even make the Final.
HGCC vs SKK Stadin Qualifier 2 Finnish Premier League T20 2020 is going to be played at the National Cricket Ground, Kerava on the 24th of August 2020.
HGCC pulled off quite an upset by defeating the form team Helsinki Cricket Club in their previous match. An astonishing inning from Arslan Gondal who scored 92 from just 47 deliveries helped them win that match.
Gondal smashed four sixes and nine fours while opening the batting. He is going to be in the limelight in this match to see if he can repeat the heroics. Saif ur Rehman and Bilal Masud also played very well in the match.
Saif ur Rehman is HGCC’s best batsman. He is consistent and reliable but does not always get the support. The previous performance was so much better than the batting we have seen from HGCC that we don’t want to expect a repeat of it in this match.
SKK Stadin has struggled with its bowling, though, so it is a good opportunity for HGCC to try and ratchet up the pressure.
Faisal Shahzad and Pankaj Saharan were the pick of the bowlers in the previous match. As a bowling side, HGCC is not the best. It struggled to keep the runs down during the group stages. SKK’s batsmen have a very good record against them and that will be on the minds of the bowlers when they take the field.

Nathan Collins and company are going to be very disappointed with their performance in the previous match. Rain made their target a bit tougher than what was expected, however, SKK’s batting failed it during a most crucial time.
For a team that has Nathan Collins, Peter Gallagher, Jake Goodwin, Jordan O’Brien, and Atif Rasheed in the side, a complete batting failure is not acceptable.
SKK will be looking to strike back hard in this match. We hope to see them play fearlessly and with perhaps a bit more imagination around their batting order. Someone like Jordan O’Brien could be promoted up the order so that he can take advantage of his power hitting.
We are pretty confident that the SKK batsmen will play much better in this match.
The challenge for them is going to be backing up their batting with the bowling. Apart from Atif Rasheed, the other bowlers have struggled for the entire duration. The bowling attack is also going to be low on confidence after they were smashed by Empire CC just 24 hours before this match.

The weather forecast is much better for this match than it was for Qualifier 1. A few scattered thunderstorms are still expected but hopefully the rain is going to stay away for the duration of the cricket match.
The outfield should be a bit quicker as the sun shines on it and the batsmen will enjoy the flat pitch as well. A score of 160 is the minimum that teams will be looking for batting first.
We think that SKK Stadin is going to come back strongly and win this match. They have the batting power that is needed to boss a T20 contest. One bad performance should not take away from that. SKK Stadin has also defeated HGCC in the two matches they have played during the group stage. Both those defeats were very comfortable.
We think SKK Stadin is going to win this match and face up to Empire CC once more in the FPL Final.
