Match prediction and cricket betting tips for Delhi Capitals vs Mumbai Indians IPL 2022. The match is going to be played at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai on the 27th of March 2022 starting at 3:30 PM.
The Delhi Capitals are going to be without five of their first-choice overseas players for the first couple of matches in IPL 2022 and that is a big concern. David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Anrich Nortje, Lungi Ngidi, and Mustafizur Rahman are all going to be unavailable because of international commitments.
This means DC will have to make some changes and rely on some pretty untested Indian replacements.
Prithvi Shaw will open with Tim Seifert followed by possibly Yash Dhull or Mandeep Singh. KS Bharat is also an option to be considered here. Pant at 4, Sarfaraz at 5, and Rovman Powell at 6 seem to be the most likely combination.
This is a jittery batting lineup. Sure, Prithvi Shaw and Rishab Pant are proven match-winners but the rest of the batting can be put under pressure.
The lower order also lacks power and although Shardul Thakur and Axar Patel can bat, you don't really want them to play too much a role with the bat.
Chetan Sakariya, Kuldeep Yadav, and Khaleem Ahmed could make it into the playing eleven for this first match until the rest of the players become available.
With five out of their seven overseas players not available and the Indian replacements decidedly second-rung, DC could struggle.

Mumbai Indians have had to reassess their team balance after their previous squad was raided by all the other teams! So many of their match winners have been bought for astronomical prices but we don't think Mumbai Indians fans need to worry just yet.
Easily the team with the clearest auction strategy, Mumbai Indians have a terrific lineup once more.
Rohit Sharm, Ishan Kishan, and possibly Tilak Verma will be the top-3 for this match. With SKY not being available, Anmolpreet Singh could also get a run in the team. The middle-order is power-packed with Kieron pollard, Tim David, and Daniel Sams expected to play.
We could also see Dewald Brevis get a run in the team at the top of the order in place of someone like Sams.
Jasprit Bumrah and Tymal Mills will form the pace bowling duo that has extra pace and superb death bowling ability. Jaydev Unadkat is also another option that MI can consider. The spin bowling options are a bit thin but the bigger boundaries at the Brabourne Stadium could allow Rohit to play both Mayank Markande and M Ashwin.
This lineup may not look as strong as the MI we are used to seeing but it has fantastic potential.

The weather forecast for Mumbai is excellent. There is no rain predicted but there is a lot of humidity. That could mean dew as the lights start to take effect. The pitch should be excellent to bat on with a nice amount of bounce and carry. The Brabourne Stadium has bigger boundaries than the Wankhede and so the spinners have a bit of a chance as well.

We are going to bet on the Mumbai Indians to win. They have a deeper batting lineup with prolific six-hitters like Tim David and Kieron Pollard in the middle. The bowling lineup is also better-stocked than the Delhi Capitals who seem to be struggling without a lot of their players being available for this match.

Rovman Powell has had an excellent series against India in the leadup to IPL 2022. He is also going to be batting a bit higher than normal because DC is missing a number of players. We think Over/Under line is quite fair right now.
There is a lot of bounce expected at the Brabourne Stadium since the red soil is used to prepare pitches. That could work in favor of Tymal Mills, especially with long boundaries. He is not afraid to use the short ball and is brilliant with his change of pace at the death as well. This betting market is a bit risky by nature, though, so bet accordingly.
No player comes into IPL 2022 with a reputation as big as Tim David. He is going to be a big draw especially since he was the highest six-hitter in the PSL as well. We think he should be able to clear the boudary at least once.
