The fight for playoff positions in CPL 2021 is heating up. At this stage, it appears that six wins are going to be enough to guarantee you a place in the playoffs while the last team to qualify will probably do with 5 wins and maybe some net run rate calculations.
Remember that CPL follows a semi-final and final format so whether a team qualifies at position number one or at position number four makes no difference at all.

The Royals have struggled with their batting in CPL 2021. It has been quite inconsistent and it will face a tough task against an excellent TKR bowling lineup. From a betting perspective, a couple of stats stand out.

Two wins in the previous two matches have helped the Trinbago Knight riders recover after a slow start to CPL 2021. The team, though, still has a lot of problems and cannot be relied on to win blindly.
The biggest problem has been with the batting and while there has been some improvement in the previous two matches, a lot of work needs to be done. Lendl Simmons and Kieron Pollard both have scored runs in recent matches while Tim Seifert has been brilliant in the lower order.
The rest of the batsmen have struggled so far. This can be seen in the fact that there have been only two individual fifties scored by TKR in CPL 2021 so far.
A couple of early wickets can put this batting lineup under pressure.
The bowling, on the other hand, has been very good. Sunil Narine and Akeal Hossain have played all the matches and bowled their full quota of overs in each. They are both giving away runs at an economy rate of just 4.39, an incredible feat in T20 cricket.
Ali Khan started his CPL with a match-winning performance and Ravi Rampaul has 17 wickets to his name as well. It is this well-rounded and in-form bowling attack that gives TKR a huge advantage going into this match.

The conditions in St. Kitts are expected to be nice and sunny on match day. The pitch is flat but slow in nature and with low bounce on offer. This has been something that we have seen throughout and it is not going to change.
The spinners are hard to score off and while the boundaries are small, getting big scores has not been very easy.
A total of around 150-160 is quite competitive.

We are going to bet on the Trinbago Knight Riders to win this match. They have a better bowling attack than the Barbados Royals and we think that is going to be the difference. The risk here is that neither team has batted with any sort of consistency and that is where the Barbados Royals would be targetting TKR.

Kyle Mayers batted very well in the previous match. He opens the batting and will face the new ball, which is the best time to score runs on a slow match. We are happy to back him to score more than 16 runs in this match.
We have noticed that the number of sixes is getting a bit fewer in the CPL but the pitch is still pretty flat. The small boundaries mean that there are a lot of sixes hit even in low-scoring matches. With Pollard, Simmons, Holder, and other prolific six-hitters in the lineup, we are happy to back the Over in this one.
