7eleven
My first job was a store clerk at 7eleven.

2009!!

jeep21 years ago today, my family and I traveled across the Pacific Ocean from the Philippines to British Columbia, Canada. We came as independent immigrant, excited yet fearful of what the future might be. Since we went by ourselves, there was no one that greeted us in the arrival section. My wife looked at me with a confused look as to what to do. We sat down together in one corner and prayed to Jesus to guide us in this risky situation. I looked up and saw the limousine taxi counter, maybe they could help us. Soon, we were able to get a room at an apartment hotel in downtown Vancouver; able to get in contact with a friend who helped us moved to a basement suite within 3 days.

The feeling of being alone in a new environment is depressing. I went outside for a walk, to hide my countenance from my kids. Doubtful whether I've lead my family into trouble or that Jesus had forsaken us. I distinctly heard a word,"Look up!". When I looked up, I saw the clouds in the sky. Again I heard a familiar voice,"The clouds that you see here, are the same clouds you saw when you were in Manila." reassuring me that He would never leave me nor forsake me.

And now, my wife and I are bless by having 2 beautiful granddaughters and a home here in Prince George.

I guess I'm getting old and sentimental but someone up there really loves me a lot. And, I know He loves you too!!!
