The lung and large intestine

When the lung qi descends, the function of the large intestine in transmission is normal and bowel movement free. If the large intestine is obstructed by stasis, it may prevent the lung qi from descending. Clinically, when dysfunction of the lung in descending fails to send down body fluid, there may be difficult bowel movement. If the large intestine is obstructed due to excessive heat, it may lead to dysfunction of the lung qi, resulting in cough and fullness in the chest
