CURE OF COMA WITH SEVEN STAR NEEDLE CAUSED BY TRAUMA IN THE HEAD

In many years we used this method and treated 41 cases of trauma in the head with obvious effects. More than 90% of the cases were caused by traffic accidents. Male 28, female 13. Out of them 10 were in coma (8 people in coma for 3 to 8 days or more and 2 in coma for more than 30 days).

Manipulation: The needle was held with the right thumb and middle finger, and fix-•ed, by the forefinger, moving up and down with wrist force, flick-stab in light and even action, then pinching until blood oozed out a bit. The rate, 240 times per minute; course of treatment, 12 times. Once a day until a course was finished then rested for 3-4 days and started again. Two to three times were suggested for those in coma or in severe headache or dizziness. It was prohibited in case of blood disease. If it was repeated at the same point, points could be chosen around the original one.

Points; for those with in coma: Baihui, Fengchi, Fengfu, Qianding, Yintang, Dazhui, Shanzhong, Jiuwei, Ganshu; for those with headache or dizziness: Touwei, Meigong; for those with vomiting: Huiyan, Zhongwan.

Observation of effects: Apart from one case where treatment discontinued, in all the other 40 cases cerebral function was recovered normally, and sequelae disappeared, 98% of them resumed work

Discussion: Symptoms of trauma of the head are in scope of cerebral concussion in Chinese medicine.

Blocking of cerebral function such as coma or its sequelae is caused by disorder of vital energy and state of blood, imbalance of Yin and Yang along meridian to cerebrum after concussion of the head. This method can invigorate the circulation of blood and dispel stasis, thus achieving obvious effects in practice.
