The Perfect Wave

You stepped out into the sun,
Burning light smoothed your skin,
Two seagulls flew over your head in the skies,
You squinted, and covered your eyes.

You let the sand bury your feet,
Parching yellow velvet kissed your skin
And you submerged into the salty surface
That embraced you and welcomed you in.

Always in the wait for the one,
Always chasing the right moment in time,
Unceasingly hoping for your time to rise,
Waiting for the perfect wave to come.
