The Amazing Race 7 Cast Reviews

   Brian and Greg (Brothers) (Eliminated)
Pre-show: For the first time in three installments, we have an alpha-male team. Brother teams are usually very successful (Ken & Gerard, Derek & Drew) and I see these two going far. These two are both athletes which should help them immensely in physical challenges. Their competitive nature will probably cause a lot of fighting, especially when one member struggles in a task. They admit that they have very little travel experience or knowledge of "The Amazing Race." Those two factors are really going to hurt them. I think that these two will make it to the final five before making a crucial mistake (because of the limited travel knowledge) which will eliminate them. Personality wise, I don't think I am going to like these two. They seem way too cocky and overconfident for me (although Derek and Drew gave me that impression early on and I ended up liking them).

Predicted finish: 5th Place

Episode 1: (4th Place) We saw very little of you because you ran a pretty spotless leg with little trouble. Right away, you tried to make as many friends as possible. It isn't that critical to make friends in The Amazing Race but you never know when it could help you.

Episode 2: (9th Place) You just squeaked into the next round by a few seconds. You did lose your alliance members Megan & Heidi though. You had a bad leg throughout. You struggled with the shoes (which stuck you on the second flight). You had a really bad taxi and you took two loads of books when you probably should have just risked it and took one. You guys are going to need some smarter racing to stay in this race.

Episode 3: (3rd Place) You guys are definitely not as bad as I thought. In fact, you are the comedian team of this season. I especially liked how you starting the leg with a sports-like introduction ("Starting in last place, 6'4"......). You were the only team to do the biking instead of the rowing. I knew it would be the tougher option and I was proven correct when you had a flat tire and lost several places. You gained some of those spots back with some good eating though.

Episode 4: (2nd Place) Other than getting lost on the first trip (after you had just said you weren't going to make any mistakes), you guys did a good job and earned your second place finish. You especially dominated with the horses finishing with a time of 33 seconds. Three out of your four legs have been good so far and I'm starting to think you are one of the teams to beat.

Episode 5-6: (6th Place) The start of leg six might have been one of the funniest things ever. You made up a fake task. Absolutely hilarious. It was a little mean to call the bushman Yoda but I can see the comparison and it was pretty funny. I think you were at fault in the car accident so technically you shouldn't have received a replacement vehicle. Thankfully you did though as I really like you two now. I especially like how you never gave up and ended up surviving in a footrace. It was very smart to not bring your stuff while running to the pitstop.

Episode 7: (6th Place, Eliminated) The opening to the leg was once again funny ("Big bucks, no whammies") but not so good for your team. If you would have read the clue, it didn't say to climb a watertower. You were also way too slow milking the goat. Unfortunately, those two mistakes were enough to lose the leg for you guys. However, you went out with one of the funniest endings ever when you stepped on the mat wearing swimsuits and arctic hats. I don't know if it was that smart since you would have only been wearing those items in the next few legs had it been a non-elimination leg. I'm sorry to see you two go as you were easily the funniest team in the race but you just didn't race as smart as some of the other teams.

Debbie and Bianca (Lifelong Friends) (Eliminated)
Pre-show: These two remind me of the whining teachers from season one (Kim and Leslie). That is not a good thing. One of them actually is a teacher so that doesn't help matters. I don't think I will like them but they are definitely going far in this race. They say they are well-traveled and have even lived abroad. They seem to be in pretty good shape and are very smart. I actually see them being the first all-women team to win the race.

Predicted finish: 1st Place

Episode 1: (1st Place) Other than the llama problems, you two made no mistakes at all. You started off smart by calling the other ticket office to see if the other flight was faster. Your Spanish speaking skills were incredible and kept help your group maintain their lead. I don't necessarily think that pointing Ron and Kelly to the wrong sand pile was a good idea. They may be a stronger team (although they didn't show it in this leg) but early in the game it isn't smart to get on a team's bad side. The only thing that worries me is the fighting. I really think the llama task looked better on paper so I think Debbie was a little bit too dramatic about how bad of a choice it was. Overall, I think I picked the right team as #1 in my predictions.

Episode 2: (6th Place) I know you don't like Romber but I still don't think you should complain so much. I personally thought his "lies" weren't that bad and I certainly wouldn't be mad at him. It is a race. You need to find anyway to secure your position in the race. The two of you were stuck on the second flight but you were really quick after it touched down. In the end, you were the second of the second flight teams to make it to the pitstop.

Episode 3: (9th Place, Eliminated) My predicted winners have been eliminated early yet again. You drove two hours in the wrong direction and that was enough to seal your defeat. Losing four hours will pretty much kill any team unless there is a bottleneck. If you weren't so sure of your directions, you really should have stopped and asked a few people if you were going the right way. It only takes a few minutes and it could have saved you over four hours. At least you didn't quit though. I'm sure some of these teams would have just quit on the spot if they found out they were four hours behind. You almost found a way to catch up. I'm just shocked at how such an incredible team in week one could make such a critical mistake. It cost you the entire race.

   Lynn and Alex (Boyfriends) (Eliminated)
Pre-show: Two more well-traveled racers. Lynn also lived abroad in Germany. Alex describes himself as personable and calculating but is bad at dealing with stress (not good as this is one stressful reality show). He describes his partner as smart but very lazy (another negative). I think a combination of Alex's stress problems and Lynn's laziness will do them in in the second episode.

Predicted finish: 10th Place

Episode 1: (5th Place) You made one crucial mistake but you rebounded nicely. You really should have went to the first ticket office just to see if it was quicker. Nobody else would have beaten you to the other office so the few minutes you would have spent would have been well worth it. Also, after you returned to the first office to see if you could still get on it you left way too soon. There might have still been enough tickets. Sometimes you guys are really funny but you can also be annoying and mean. I don't really like the name "Team Hillbilly." I did like the singing though. I think I underrated your ability as I doubt you will come in 10th place overall.

Episode 2: (5th Place) You two also complained a lot about Romber's "lies." I think you should stop it because this is a game and lying is a part of it. As for the "rigged" scale, you were the ones that messed up. You really should have bought a slightly bigger fish just in case one of the scales was wrong. After that debacle, you rebounded and wound up in fifth again.

Episode 3: (1st Place) Quit focusing so much on Romber. The goal of the race isn't to beat a specific team, it is to beat every team. If you only think about Romber, you are not going to win this race. Good determination in the rowing to beat Romber but it only gave you a few extra minutes so I don't know what the big deal was. You also were the first to finish eating that meat. Overall, that was a very well-earned first place. Just please forget about Rob and Amber.

Episode 4: (5th Place) STOP IT WITH YOUR ROMBER OBSESSION!!!!!!!!!! I'm starting to think that you are just jealous of them. Otherwise I have no idea why a team would spend so much time talking about another team. I was especially mad when you compared them to an STD. It was digusting and inappropriate. Also, don't insult Romber because they came up with a good strategy in the eating task last week. In addition, please quit complaining. Just because you had a bad boat and a bad taxi driver doesn't give you the right to complain the entire episode. I really hope that you guys go soon.

Episode 5-6: (4th Place) This is the ignorant team of the race. "I was expecting cows and chickens" (or at least something like that). At least you went a few sentences without mentioning Rob and Amber. I also think it was a very nice gesture to stop and help out Brian & Greg (but I don't think you should insult Romber for not doing the same). Even when you stepped on the mat you had to mention how Romber didn't stop and help. Please just stop it.

Episode 7: (4th Place) I really want you two gone soon. I want to know why you two think that you are honest. You have lied before in this race even. Also, how is sneaky not dirty? I am also mad at you guys for saying Meredith & Gretchen are stupid. I think some of those mean things you said may have caused your car to die TWICE. If you add the boat you broke last week, that is the third replacement vehicle you have needed. I'm starting to think that the replacement vehicle guys should just follow you from now on. You guys also made an incredibly stupid decision when you allowed your worse driver to do a task that was obviously car-related. You did make one smart move when you put on extra layers in anticipation of a non-elimination leg and a last place finish.

Episode 8: (No Pit Stop) You've already made a few crucial mistakes in this leg. You were the ones that stuck Uchenna & Joyce, Gretchen & Meredith, and yourselves on a slower flight. It was only five minutes earlier or so but minutes can mean the game in this race. Whenever you see Rob smiling, you know he is up to something. Since you are obsessed with him, you should have picked that up already. You also wasted time trying to get a taxi outside when other teams went to the prepaid line and saved valuable time. The third mistake you made was not yielding Meredith & Gretchen. There is only one more yield left and it is doubtful that you will be able to use it then (as other teams will get to the mat first). You should have used it to secure a spot in the next leg. If your reasoning is that you didn't want to do something mean you aren't cut out for this race. You have to make moves like that. I'm actually shocked that nobody yielded you two. Romber or Ron & Kelly should have used it on you because you are the third best racing team left. Finally, one of you made a mistake by insisting that a taxi would be the better option to get to the office. You should have known it would have been next to impossible to find a taxi in that mayhem. Uchenna & Joyce were able to pass you because of this mistake. You're still in a good position for this leg but some of these mistakes are troublesome for your future chances.

Episode 9: (5th Place, Eliminated) I am really glad you guys are gone. You have been annoying throughout the race as well as rude and mean. In hindsight, you should have kept going for the fast forward. I'm sure you would have been willing to shave your head and you likely would have beat Uchenna & Joyce to it (they made several driving mistakes). Of course, you couldn't really have expected them to make a mistake so it was probably a good idea at the time to change your mind. You then quickly made up time and passed up Mereditch & Gretchen. Throughout the leg you passed and fell behind them several times. In the end, you would have beaten them had you not went to the wrong castle. It cost you several minutes that meant game over for you guys. I was absolutely shocked but very happy when I found out that you were eliminated.

   Megan and Heidi (Roommates) (Eliminated)
Pre-show: One thing really sticks out in their biography. Megan has a huge phobia of flying. She wants to put it behind her but I just have a feeling she might struggle to even get on her first plane. If she can get over this fear, I think the team will do well. Neither team member has much travel experience but they say they are extremely confident and not afraid to take risks. Both look to be in good shape but I think they may struggle with any puzzles that are thrown their way. I have no clue how this plane phobia thing is going to work out so I will peg them as a middle elimination.

Predicted finish: 7th Place

Episode 1: (9th Place) You may be the luckiest team in the race. Your chances at the money almost ended a few minutes into the race when you almost wrecked your car. You also started digging without looking at what the other times were. Luckily for you guys the other plane got delayed and wound up on your flight. Also, you were almost eliminated when you just barely made that last truck. There would have been no way to catch up had you missed it. You were the last to leave the store but you got lucky once again when you got a great taxi driver. All those mistakes would usually lead to an elimination. If you guys don't stop making them, you will be the next team eliminated.

Episode 2: (10 Place, Eliminated) I'm sort of happy that you two are gone. You were easily one of the more boring teams in this race. You were stuck on the second flight and also got a bad taxi. Those two factors are what lost you the game. You did make up some time with the shopping but it wasn't enough and you were eliminated by seconds.

  Meredith and Gretchen (Retired Couple)
Pre-show: Even though fans always want them to go far, the older couple never goes very far (except Teri and Ian). Meredith says he is competitive, articulate, and compassionate and he has also won seven swimming championships. Gretchen says she is outgoing, reliable, and kind but loud when angry. I don't see any fighting happening but they just won't be able to compete physically and will be the third team eliminated. By the time they leave, America will fall in love with this couple.

Predicted finish: 9th Place

Episode 1: (6th Place) I already like these two. I absolutely love Gretchen's catchphrase, "Gosh darnit." You only made one mistake throughout the whole leg. That mistake was digging without looking at the other times. It didn't hurt you because the other flight was delayed but it is dangerous to make those kind of mistakes. You did a great job with the llamas (or they were just nice ones) and that allowed you to make up some serious ground. I think that the older team might actually have a chance in this race and I regret predicting a ninth place finish for you two.

Episode 2: (7th Place) You made it onto the first flight but then you threw it away in the shopping task. Like Lynn and Alex, you should have bought a slightly bigger fish so you didn't have to worry about a rigged scale. You finished behind two teams that were stuck on the second flight. That is not good at all.

Episode 3: (7th Place) We didn't see much of you besides for the fact that you were one of the teams that took the time penalty. I think it was probably a pretty good idea (and it did pay off).

Episode 4: (7th Place) You two just can't get out of seventh place. This is the third consecutive time that you've ended in that place. You probably would have been last if Susan & Patrick hadn't had a bad boat. That was mainly because you blindly followed Ray & Deana when they were headed back to the dock. Thank goodness you realized he didn't have a clue or you definitely would have been a goner. Other than Romber, I think you are my favorite team.

Episode 5-6: (5th Place, Non-Elimination Leg) I am so glad that leg five was non-elimination because I would have lost you two otherwise. You have to read your clue better. You had to redress and enter the caves again just because you didn't read the instructions. Gretchen's fall looked pretty bad but she certainly made it seem like a papercut. The penalty for coming in last wasn't that much. There is actually a chance that losing your possessions could help you. Most racers overpack and now you don't have to carry much at all. In fact, you had pretty much nothing and you managed to move up two spots in the sixth leg.

Episode 7: (5th Place) It was another rocky leg but you survived once again. You drove to the wrong watertower but at least you didn't go and climb it or something like Brian & Greg did. You also missed the clue after completing the car task and went straight to the pitstop without knowing that was where you were supposed to be going. It was hilarous but mistakes like that can cost you the game. You were given another second chance and are now one of the longest lasting older teams (Teri & Ian made it to the final three but they weren't nearly as old as you two).

Episode 8: (No Pit Stop) You two were stuck on the slower flight because you trusted Lynn & Alex's advice. It wouldn't have hurt to call yourselves just to make sure a flight wasn't missed. You also wasted a lot of time trying to get a taxi on the street instead of at the prepaid line. You were last to the yield mat and you are very lucky not to have been yielded. Lynn & Alex would have been wise to yield you. Gretchen put you even farther back in the pack by really struggling in the box task. It was mostly bad luck but I think you could have given a little bit of a better effort. Had there been a pitstop, you most likely would have been last so you guys were lucky again. Luck will eventually run out unless you start racing a little smarter and harder. The applause that you got from the locals may have been one of the most amazing things I've seen in "The Amazing Race." I think it was a little crazy. They were asking for your autograph like you were celebrities. That is a little too much. It was fun to see though. Give them something to cheer about next week by moving up a few spots with some good racing.

Episode 9: (4th Place) I can't think of a luckier team in "Amazing Race" history then these two. Once again, you two were second to last. You struggled immensely in the elephant pulling. It might not have been such a struggle if Gretchen wouldn't have gotten in it. Once you saw other teams without a member in it you should have gotten out. You ended up losing a lot of time on it but you quickly regained it on Lynn & Alex when they got a bad taxi driver. You then lost time on the camel racing and blew your slight lead. However, you once again got lucky when Lynn & Alex went to the wrong castle. You survived again and I was absolutely shocked to see you beat Lynn & Alex. You are now officially the oldest team to ever make the final four.

Episode 10: (2nd Place) That was one of your best finishes ever (thanks mainly to Romber). They fooled you but it wound up backfiring on them when you got a quicker ticket because of it. I like Romber, but that was hilarious to see that come back and haunt them. The two hours or so that you saved with that ticket allowed you to make a few mistakes along the way. You had severe problems trying to find that one cluebox. It was very funny but probably set you back a few minutes. You also had trouble finding the guy with the scales. That also probably cost you a few minutes. With your lead on the two trailing teams, it didn't matter much but you can't make mistakes like this in the final leg (if you make it). Gretchen decided to do the climbing task (I don't know why) and she struggled. However, for an older woman I think you did a great job. You were second place but you really have to thank Rob & Amber. Had they not joked around with you, you guys very well might have been last again.

Ray and Deana (Dating on and off) (Eliminated)
Pre-show: No!!!!!!!!!! It seems like the producers have found another Jonathan to alienate their fanbase with. Ray even admits he is cocky and worse of all, he says he is never wrong (reminds me of Jonathan). I know I am not going to like this team and I think the previews even showed Ray acting like a jerk. Unfortunately, on and off daters usually make it quite far but never seem to take home the prize. I really hope we can get rid of these two quickly but I don't see it happening.

Predicted finish: 3rd Place

Episode 1: (7th Place) In my pre-show review I said that I thought Ray would be the next Jonathan. In a way, I was correct. However, he is much more mellow than last season's idiot. Ray, I think you were a little too demanding when Deana had a few problems. Very few mistakes were made by this team and they at least had the common sense to look at the other palm trees before digging. I don't think you guys will finish third like I predicted but I expect you to make it at least halfway through the race.

Episode 2: (3rd Place) I am sensing that we will be seeing a lot of arguing from you two but it hasn't been that terrible yet. Overall, it was a pretty spotless performance from you two and it ended in a well-earned third place.

Episode 3: (6th Place) Why was Deana picked to do what was obviously an eating task? If Ray took the task, you probably would have been one of the first teams to the pitstop. Since Deana was picked, it was definitely a good choice to take the time penalty. She seems to whine about everything and I really doubt she would have been able to finish.

Episode 4: (6th Place) Ray has finally shown his true colors. I really hated those old people comments directed at Meredith & Gretchen. Just because they are old doesn't mean that they don't belong in this race. It's not like you are a spring chick anyway as I believe you are over forty. I really wish you had lost to the "two weakest teams." I was also annoyed at you when Deana struggled with the horses. Sure she whined a lot but I think you were overly mad. You are way too competitive and I really want to see you two gone soon.

Episode 5-6: (7th Place, Eliminated) Ray continued to show that he is a jerk when he joked about Meredith & Gretchen again. Securing the right to be the first off the plane was a great idea as it allowed you to be the first to the fast forward. Since there are only two in the entire race, it was a good choice to go for it. You blew your spot of first place in the second half of the episode though. You didn't put much effort into the detour and it cost you the race.

Rob and Amber (Engaged, Former Survivors)
Pre-show: Rombers back! I know a lot of people didn't like them but I was one of the few who really didn't mind them. They really seemed to grow up in All-Stars. Rob can sometimes be a jerk and Amber is still boring but I am still happy to see them on the race. Unlike most people, I really do think they found love (it wasn't just a publicity stunt) and I would love to see them test their relationship. If you didn't get to see them on Survivor, I can tell you that they are both very athletic (in All-Stars they pretty much owned the Immunity Necklace). I know the last reality crossover team (Alison and Donny) didn't do too well but I really think Romber will work well together and will finish in second place. I can't believe I'm saying this but go Romber!

Predicted finish: 2nd Place

Episode 1: (3rd Place) I was one of the few fans who didn't mind seeing Rob and Amber on this race. However, if you keep getting Survivor fans to help you through then entire race, I might start regretting that. I really don't think it is fair that because you were on Survivor you get extra help. After a rocky start (not being able to open the trunk, Rob wanting to eat five minutes into the game), Romber really got it together (mostly because of that Survivor fan). Still, had it not been for that guy, I think you may have been fighting for your lives.

Episode 2: (1st Place) I thought your lies were actually pretty funny but unfortunately, they might get you yielded later (although that was pretty much a foregone conclusion anyway). I personally don't see any problems with it. This is a game and if you need to lie to proceed in it, I'm all for it. You led throughout pretty much the entire leg but you commented that you are running out of money. That isn't good. I would suggest that you stop bribing so much. You did prove that you can race well without a "tour guide" and I am very happy to see you in first place.

Episode 3: (5th Place) Rob has found a way to strategize in the Amazing Race. I think the plan to take the penalty was sheer genius. After he got two other teams to follow suit, it became an even better plan. Quitting did knock you guys down a few places but the goal of the race is to just not finish last. Had you tried to finish the meal, you might have fallen even more in the ranks. Also, very nice job in getting to the yield first. Had you not been first to it, you most likely would have been yielded (and you probably will in the future if you don't get to it first). I really enjoy your team and you are one of the few bright spots of this season.

Episode 4: (1st Place) Another first place finish for my favorite team. It started a little rocky when you had trouble finding the roadblock. I am worrying that Rob is doing way too many roadblocks. Amber is pretty athletic too but Rob should really be doing some of the tougher ones. You two barely made it to the first flight. It actually paid off because your bags then came off first. You had a lot of luck this week but you should still be commended for your second first place finish.

Episode 5-6: (2nd Place) Right when you two decided to go for the fast forward, my heart sunk. Thankfully, you were able to catch up with an exceptional performance in the detour. You did pretty well throughout both legs (except for going for the fast forward) but I have to question some of your ethics. I know it is a race but I would have at least stopped to check on Brian & Greg. I'm not going to hate you for that one mistake but it wasn't a very nice thing to do.

Episode 7: (1st Place) For once, you actually got little face time. That is probably because you made no mistakes (other than trying the balancing task and then quickly switching). Amber did a great job milking the goat and Rob dominated the car task (and actually passed Ron and Kelly). In the end, you once again came in first place and won your third trip. You are going to be on vacation forever if this keeps up.

Episode 8: (No Pit Stop) Thank goodness you guys are in an alliance with Ron & Kelly. Otherwise, you most likely would have been yielded and I actually think they should have even yielded you. This is one of the few times that an alliance actually helped another team. Good job getting the better tickets. It was only about five minutes earlier but every little bit counts in this race. It allowed you to get to the yield mat second and saved you from certain yielding. I do think that you should have persuaded Ron & Kelly to use it on Lynn & Alex (or used it yourself on them). There is only one yield left now and both of you can't use it so one will be wasted. It could have knocked out a strong team had you used it. The two tasks were a breeze for your team as usual and you arrived in first at the "pitstop."

Episode 9: (3rd Place) Yet another solid performance from Romber. You two were just seconds away from second place. You got yet another guide for free. Getting guides is a good idea but it doesn't really make you a good racer in my eyes. I really wish "The Amazing Race" would find a way to ban them. You learned from your previous fast forward fiasco and didn't even go for it. Amber struggled in the camel racing quite a bit and it cost you the second place finish. I absolutely love the competitiveness that you and Ron & Kelly are showing. You even raced to be the team in second place. Good job again.

Episode 10: (3rd Place) Rob's strategic thinking finally came back and bit you in the butt. It was actually a good idea to mislead Meredith & Gretchen into potentially giving you some information but it turned out to hurt you. You did a good job in overhearing Uchenna but then the ticket person lied to you. You went through over half the leg not knowing that you were two hours behind. However, you did a much better job racing than your friends Ron & Kelly. You got on an earlier train and boat and kept the lead throughout all the tasks. That good racing allowed you to keep your possessions and money. One thing I've got to ask-Rob, how do you not know what a gnome is? I didn't like some of the comments you made about Meredith & Gretchen (not good to take after Ray) but I still like you guys and I am rooting for you to win.

   Ron and Kelly (Dating)
Pre-show: I don't think anyone can honestly say they are not rooting for Ron. He was a former Iraq War POW. His helicopter was actually shot down. Ron says he is a thrill-seeker (lots of thrills abound in the race) and is very competitive (I'm sensing a theme here). Kelly says she is well-rounded. I like this team but I have a feeling they are not going to go very far.

Predicted finish: 8th Place

Episode 1: (10th Place) I'm already starting to hate "the All-American couple" stuff. You guys struggled throughout the race and only stayed in the game by a few seconds. Like many other teams, you made the mistake of digging before looking at the other times. I like you two but I was actually upset that you beat my favorite team to the pitstop.

Episode 2: (2nd Place) After a terrible first leg, you two really started to dominate in this leg. You made it onto the first flight because of Ron's good shoe shining. However, you made a mistake by taking two trips with the books. You also fought an awful lot. Second place was well-earned this leg, but you guys have to stop fighting and work together better in the upcoming weeks.

Episode 3: (4th Place) As usual, you two got very little face time. You were solid throughout the leg and finished a respectable fourth.

Episode 4: (4th Place) Nothing again.

Episode 5-6: (1st Place) Very little face time again but it is obvious that you are turning into a powerhouse team.

Episode 7: (2nd Place) Your team is really starting to fight way too much. Ron-you have been a little too harsh at times to Kelly. Kelly-you are yelling at him for no reason a lot of the time. I definitely didn't hear "shut the **** up" as you claimed Ron said. I heard "shut up Kelly." That still is pretty rude but I think you overreacted. If you two continue to fight, you are not going to win this race. The only two to win the game while fighting were Flo and Zach (and Zach pretty much had be a superhero to pull it off). Second place is still pretty good though.

Episode 8: (No Pit Stop) At least you two made an attempt not to fight this time. I really think you made a mistake not yielding your alliance members Rob & Amber. They are easily the biggest competition in the race. I guess it was unlikely that they would still drop below the other teams but I think it was worth the risk. If you didn't want to yield Romber, you should have used it on Lynn & Alex instead. They are also big competitors and yielding them could have knocked them out of the race (had there been a pitstop). Now you might not even have a chance to use your yield as there is only one remaining. I have to disagree with Kelly once again. She was adament about taking a taxi to the office but I really thought (and was proven right) that it would be too hard to find. You should have just took the rickshaw right away. You still aren't in any danger (you would have finished second had there been a pitstop) but you are still making too many mistakes.

Episode 9: (2nd Place) Once again you put together a good effort but weren't shown much. You were a huge beneficiary of Romber's guide. Kelly did a great job with the camel racing and wound up giving you an edge in the final race for the finish. Like I said on Romber's review, I love the competitiveness between you and Romber.

Episode 10: (4th Place, Non-Elimination Leg) Kelly, can you be any more idiotic? I highly doubt that Ron wanted to be a POW so he could get out of the army. He was making a nice comment about how much there is to do in this race and then you go and blast him for it. I'm officially fed up with you and I really hope that you don't win. That wish would have come true had it not been a non-elimination leg. You got on the slower flight and were much slower than Romber throughout the rest of the leg. You missed a train and a boat that Romber was able to catch. You made up some time with the column task (I was correct when I thought that would be the faster task) but it wasn't enough as you were last to the finish line. You lost all your money and possessions but you got one of the best leg prizes that has been given out.

Ryan and Chuck (Best Friends) (Eliminated)
Pre-show: This is my favorite team based on pre-show bios. I think Ryan and Chuck are going to be just like Ken and Gerard (a very funny team of brothers). Both team members are very religious and Chuck says he is well-traveled (and knows Portugese). They also insist they are very smart. They certainly don't look to be in great shape but I think their traveling skills, team camaraderie, and smarts will get them into fourth place. Usually America's favorite team (which I think will be these two) finishes in fourth place.

Predicted finish: 4th Place

Episode 1: (11th Place, Eliminated) This is the second time in a row that my pre-show favorite was eliminated first (Avi & Joe last season). You did make a lot of mistakes though. You were one of the many teams that started digging before knowing the other times. You were one of the last teams out of the airport. For some reason, you decided to only take one llama at a time. Had you taken both, you might still be in this race. You barely missed that one truck. You had a slow taxi driver that probably lost you the game.

I really wish you guys would have made it further. It was obvious that you two would have been the next Kevin and Drew. You even made fun of each other's weight (like Kevin and Drew). You were very funny at the descending task. "We're going to be the first to load test this" and "Watch out for the cactuses" were very funny comments. The funniest moment may have been when you two considered opening your door to stop the other teams from passing you. I already miss you two.

  Susan and Patrick (Mother/Son) (Eliminated)
Pre-show: Hard to believe this is the first mother/son team in Amazing Race history. They are doing the race in order to spend time with each other (mom lives in Ohio, son in Hollywood). She says she is demanding (not good for Patrick) and prepared (good for the race). I think Patrick is on the wrong show as he says he is "Machiavellian and strategic." Those attributes would work better on Survivor. Very little strategy is involved in the race. I don't know if I will like this team and I really don't know where to place them either.

Predicted finish: 11th Place

Episode 1: (2nd Place) What is with the obsession with Rob and Amber. I can understand how you don't want them to win another million but enough is enough. You two even made an alliance with Romber just so you could have a hand in their defeat. Overall, you raced well but Debbie and Bianca did most of the work for you.

Episode 2: (8th Place) Surprisingly, I didn't hear much complaining about Romber's lies. If it wasn't just edited out, thank you because I am getting sick of Romber bashing. You made it onto the first flight but you lost a lot of time having to exchange currency. That is something that you should always do when there is downtime (waiting for a plane time or a task to open).

Episode 3: (8th Place) You two also got pretty lost this episode. It knocked you down several positions and you were almost eliminated because of it. You really should have yielded Debbie & Bianca (although you might not have expected someone to be behind you). Patrick was really slow eating his meat and he complained a lot. Debbie & Bianca came very close to beating you despite a pretty substancial lead.

Episode 4: (8th Place, Eliminated) You really became whiny this episode Patrick. You whined in the horse roadblock. You whined when you "knew" you were going to be eliminated. You whined when you were eliminated. You can pretty much attribute your loss to the bad boat. Sometimes, luck plays one of the biggest roles in the race.

  Uchenna & Joyce (Married)
Pre-show: Both Uchenna and Joyce were employed by now bankrupt corporations (Uchenna for Enron, Joyce for WorldCom). In addition, they have wanted to become parents but can't get pregnant. They say they are using this race to spend time together without woring about their recent problems. I think this will be a team to root for and they will make it to sixth place.

Predicted finish: 6th Place

Episode 1: (8th Place) Another team that made plenty of mistakes. It was really dumb to jog to the bus station rather than take a taxi. Also, I don't have any clue as to why you took one llama at a time. The only reason you are still in this race is because other teams made even more mistakes.

Episode 2: (4th Place) You team is still struggling a lot. You were stuck on the second flight because Joyce struggled with the shoe shining. The fourth place finish was very lucky because I didn't see much smart racing this leg.

Episode 3: (2nd Place) Uchenna was the first to finish his meal despite arriving later than several teams. Had you not had a navigation error, you would have finished first. Navigation errors like that have cost several teams the race. You two really have to learn how to read a map.

Episode 4: (3rd Place) Your team continued a solid string of racing. However, I am concerned that you are stopping for directions too much. Be a little more confident in your map skills. When we get into the later stages of this race, stopping to ask for directions could cost you the game.

Episode 5-6: (3rd Place) Not much to comment on this week.

Episode 7: (3rd Place) I was very impressed with you two in the balancing task. That looked really hard but you did a great job and made up some time with it. Uchenna forgot to take the post in the car task but it didn't cost you position-wise. It was just a stupid mistake but those kind of mistakes have cost many teams the entire race.

Episode 8: (No Pit Stop) You were the other team that got stuck on the later flight because you relied on Lynn & Alex's information. Never trust a team-take that extra few minutes to double check the information. At least you got good information on taxis and were able to use it to your advantage. You gained quite a bit of a lead on the other two teams with the prepaid taxi line. You really should have yielded Lynn & Alex or even Meredith & Gretchen. You were in third place at the time but I would have used it to secure my spot. I am very worried about your roadblock ratio. I don't know what it is but it seems like Uchenna does every single one. You should be using him on the tougher, more physical tasks not on SIMPLE BOX TASKS!

Episode 9: (1st Place) Congratulations on your first first place finish. Unlike many fast forwards, yours was a tough one to complete. You took a long time to get to it (which cut down on your potential lead going in to the next leg) and I was really worried that you wouldn't do it. However, Joyce toughed it out and shaved her hair. I was really impressed with her and I will definitely consider it for hall of fame consideration. Hopefully you can use this first place finish to build some momentum going in to the last few legs.

Episode 10: (1st Place) Your team is finally getting into a groove. This was your second straight first place finish. I think you ran a perfect leg. You took Romber's trick and turned it into a quicker flight. You found your gnome quickly. Uchenna dominated in the castle climbing. Absolutely nothing went wrong the entire leg. Great job and congratulations on another first place finish. Keep this up and you will win the game.
