"Elizabethtown"
Reviewed By: Adam Mortensen

While "Elizabethtown" was a decent film it had several flaws. As a whole, the movie didn't do anything for me until the last fifteen minutes. At over two hours in length, it is way too long. So much of the early footage could have easily been cut out. There was also no focus throughout the movie. Orlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst did a decent job in the acting department. The interaction between the two is the highlight of the movie. That isn't saying much though.

The movie begins with Drew (Bloom) being fired after he develops a shoe that loses almost a billion dollars for his company. Even if you made the worst shoes ever, they wouldn't lose a billion dollars. It is a ridiculous idea that is almost laughable. Anyways, he is about to kill himself until he gets the news that his dad has died. He is forced to fly down to Kentucky to retrieve the body. Along the way he meets a charismatic flight attendant (Dunst) who helps him find himself. The whole movie is about dealing with death and finding your way.

Overall, the movie provided nothing new or special. It is a decent enough movie to rent but don't go in with high expectations.
