Have you played Burnout Takedown and now want more Burnout action? You will get your chance on September 13, 2005.

I have recently received a demo of Burnout Revenge and I was impressed. The demo included only one level which was a normal racing map. The gameplay is almost the same as the previous game but with a few tweaks. I would call Revenge more of a expansion pack than a full game. The series has been known for its fast paced races and the one race on the demo is faster than any other racing game I have ever played. EA has added more ways to takedown your enemies. However, don't think you can push your buddies around too much. There is a revenge bar that fills up each time you take down the same car. Also the crashbreaker button has been added to normal races. So if a car crashes you better beware their flaming car flying through the air.

The graphics in Burnout Revenge have become a little better from the other games. The car models have more detail. When you crash the cars show even more realistic damage. The tracks also have more detail.

There are also more shortcuts and different paths you can take on each stage. At one time you can drive up a ramp and drive through a building. Several other shortcuts involve going up ramps and through buildings.

The only problem I can see with the game is the difficulty. I played the race 5-10 times and I never placed first. I ran a perfect race several times and the best place I got was second.

Burnout Revenge seems like it will be a great racing game. Even though it seems more like an expansion pack than a full new game this is a game I can't wait for. You will be able to pick up your own copy on September 13, 2005.
