4. I recommend using a machine tooled socket on proms while experimenting so you may wish to order the same quantity as proms. By placing them on the proms, you elliminate problems of bending leads over and breaking them.

5. The ZIF socket is handy if you are doing a lot of programming but is not necessary. You can satisfactorily use a machine socket in its place.

6. May be male socket if your pc cable will accomodate it.
