A model team-mate, Heinz-Harald Frentzen had a good season. On more than once occasion, he was prepared to sacrifice his own chances to help the team's cause in general, and Jacques Villeneuve's in particular, most notably in the final Grand Prix at Jerez. He showed that he could become an outsider for the title. He ended this year's championship in second place. 98 could well be his year!
