Today, the IAR330L Puma SOCAT prototype fired with modern anti-tank laser-guided missiles made in Israel.

The SOCAT is the updated version of the IAR330L Puma military transport. As an attack helicopter, from the technological point of view, the Puma SOCAT can be considered as a Cobra/Apache class attack helicopter, on a heavy fuselage.

The SOCAT's cannon for example is superior to the one installed on the AH64D Apache. The SOCAT has a 30mm cannon which fires 850 rounds/minute of armour piercing shells compared to only 650 rounds/minute of the AH64D's cannon.
