MiG-29 Sniper First Flight

In the 5th of may 2000, the MiG-29 Sniper ATD prototype made its first flight in Bacau AFB, near Aerostar SA.
Being the result of a cooperation between Aerostar SA Bacau (Romania), DASA (Daimler-Chrysler Aerospace, Germany) and Elbit Ltd (Israel), the MiG-29 Sniper was subject to a flight resource extension, after which the new equipment was added to the aircraft. This entire operation took place exclusively at Aerostar SA Bacau.
The MiG29 Sniper prototype, designated White 67, took off at 17:11 (PM GMT+02) and was flown by DASA's chief test pilot, Wolfgang.
