Romanian on Discovery Channel !

I was sitting down and working on my computer one evening, and in my back, the TV was tunned on Discovery Channel, as it always is (almoust non-stop actually...).
And as I was writing my articles and editing my pages in here, I've started to hear a Romanian guy who I know works for PRO TV and used to do morning shows, named Florin Chiriac, as he started to talk about the only marine reservation in Romania, 2 Mai Vama Veche, and about how they will upgrade it, restructurate it, clean it -up and how they will attract tourists into that area and also educate the local population in order to get them involved in the Sea Horses' rescue program.
The Romanian Sea Horse is a unique species in the world, and other Sea Horses are found only in a handful of places on Earth and they do not resemble the Romanian "version" and also, a small nomber of global environment organizations are trying to save the reproduce the other seahorses in the world, but so far they've failed coz the Sea Horse is one of the hardest species that could get artificially forced to reproduce (the other one being the Koala bear), and they're the only one in the world which not by any circumstances, won't reproduce under captivity.
You can imagine I was kinda shocked at the beginning, to hear 20 minutes of video in Romanian on a channel like the Discovery channel, but I was also impressed and happy.
Discovery Channel did not stop nor started there in educating and involving into the European international world and in bringing it together, closer to each other, until hopefuly one day soon, we'll have a truly united Europe.
Nowadays (2001), there are such videos (much much smaller than the Romanian one though) in over 15 languages on Discovery Channel and I hope there are more coming. Except for the Romanian one, there's a small package in Swedish, another one in Italian, English, Polish and Danish, and more than 10 small-sized clips in other languages too.
All we have to do now is to wait for United States of Europe to come...
gooooo Romania, go Discovery and gooo Europe !!!
