Northrop buys Newport Subs

November 9th. Northrop-Grumann Corporation, one of the large US aviation contractors, signs a contract to buy Newport Subs, the largest US submarine builder, for the price of $2.1 billion.
The newly formed alliance is the world's largest submarine producing company.
