New Terminal for LAX ?

Heavy street demonstration of suburban Los Angeles City residents have been taking place in the last months protesting against the idea of building a new Terminal the already huge, over-sized and overcrowded LAX International Airport in Los Angeles, CA.
Residents argue that diseases such as stress, brain disease and even cancer have been wildly increasing since the overcrowing of the Airport at the beginning of the last decade.
Residents are protesting against the idea launched in the Airport's Administration Council late last year, which set the proposal for the building of a new Terminal due to the often traffic jams in the already overcrowded Terminals of LAX.
"Isn't enough noise pollusion and stuff here already ??" stated a woman from the middle of the street crowd. "Why don't they build an entirely new and bigger airport somewhere in the middle of the desert, far far away, instead of feeding new ground into this already horrible sound-making machine" she continued, as many Police squad cars were surrounding the crowd in order to keep it from getting "over enthuziastic".
Los Angeles is expanding quickly, and there's only new space for new construction sites closer and closer to the Airport, as the desert between it and the former city areas is quickly transforming itself into new neighbourhoods.
