Sunday saw some changes in the starting-field.
Jan Birkenes entered his Camaro in Super Street, but Petter Szlagor showed up with his beautiful 56 Ford Mainlane, and Terje Haakonsen had repaired the clutch on his Challenger. He runs a Lenco transmission.
That meant 9 cars and a 16-car ladder.
Petter Szlagor stunned everyone by runing a 9.901 straight from the trailer! Morten also did a great job and was 2nd qualifier with a 9.906.

This time we got Terje Haakonsen in the first round and a solo waited after that. We have beaten Terje before, and he still had clutch-problems so Morten felt quite confident. And he did win first round. But we also discovered a leak in a cooling hose. After some intense wrenching we got it fixed and Morten drove a very careful 13 sec. solo-run.
Now first qualifier Szlagor waited in the semi-final. Morten cut a sharp 0.434 light and won with a 10.060 to a 10.039. We were in the final!
On the other side of the ladder, Marheim was up against Bugge-Andersen again!
This time the staging lights "approved" Marheim's car and he got his revenge.
Marheim then met Petter Sukkestad who showed real sportmanship by letting Marheim run the right lane, because he only had had problems with the left lane. That paid off, because Sukkestad beat Marheim fair and square.
In the final Sukkestad chosed left lane again because he had not had any problems there. But again the tree reacted with a Redlight in the left lane when the starter pushed the button. This time the stage-light blinked a few times when Sukkestad revved his engine and he later admitted that he probably didn't stage deep enough.
Interestingly enough, Morten also cut a redlight with a 0.373 reaction-time. But since Sukkestad Redlighted first we had secured our first win!
