PLOT: Maggie and PJ are secretly seeing each other and have been for about 4-5 months. Nobody knows!!!
MT THOMAS POLICE STATION
DASH: Hey Maggie! Are you doing anything tomorrow night?
Maggie quickly glances at the CI office as PJ is in there.
MAGGIE: Er, no. Why?
DASH: Well I know someone who is coming to town for a few days and wants me to set him up with someone so how about it.
MAGGIE: Well actually.......( looks worried because she didn't want to go out with another man. She wanted PJ)
DASH: Well since you haven't got anything planned and your not seeing anyone..
Dash just lets the last comment hang in the air
DASH: it would be ok to go to dinner with Steve. That's his name.
Seeing that she is in a no win situation she reluctantly agrees wondering what PJ will say. She couldn't risk blowing their secret relationship out in the open.
MEANWHILE IN THE CI OFFICE
NICK: So how about it? She's a nice woman, very attractive and available. Now don't turn me down because you have nothing planned like you said and your not seeing anyone......
Nick too let the last comment hang in the air.
NICK: there is no excuse to accept to go to dinner with Julie. That's her name.
PJ: Yeah um (looks worried because he didn't want to go out with another
woman. He wants Maggie) well you see Nick....
NICK: Great. I'll tell her you can make it!
And with that Nick Leaves.
PJ puts his head in his hands.
PJ: What am I going to tell Maggie?
IN THE OFFICE AREA
MAGGIE: What am I going to tell PJ?
PJ come out of the CI office.
PJ: Um Mags, can I see you for a moment?
Maggie: Sure.
CI OFFICE
BOTH: There is something I have to tell you
Both Laugh.
Maggie: You go first.
PJ: Ok. Nick kind of reeled me in to this blind date that I didn't want to do. I tried telling him but he doesn't listen. I'm sorry.
PJ looked up and founf Maggie trying not to laugh.
PJ: What's so funny?
MAGGIE: You look so cute when you look guilty.
She walked up and put her arms around his waist.
MAGGIE: There is something I have to tell you. Dash did the same thing. I have to go out with this guy Steve. I don't want to go either.
PJ: Well lets not go.
MAGGIE: We have to. They know we are not seeing anyone. Well, to their knowledge anyway. They don't know I have the most cutest and sexiest detective in all of the Victorian police as a boyfriend.
PJ: And they don't know I have the most drop dead gorgeous, kind, loving and also sexiest constable in all the Victorian police as a girlfriend.
With that PJ leaned in and put his arms around Maggie's waist and kissed her passionately just to let her know there is no one else he'd want than her. Maggie responded with equal enthusiasm.
MAGGIE: Did I mention the greatest kisser too.
PJ laughed.
PJ: I guess you right. We better go.
MAGGIE: I'll make it up to you. It must be torture knowing you have to spend the evening with another woman. But the night doesn't have to be a total loss if you know what I mean.
PJ: I know exactly what you mean.
He leaned in again and kissed her.
THAT EVENING IN A RESTURANT CALLED 'LE GRILL'
JULIE: So it must be interesting working as a cop?
PJ: Hmm, sorry what did you say?
JULIE: Are you all right? You seem distant?
PJ: Sorry. I'm fine.
Pj was not fine. In fact he had been watching Maggie all night. He was surprised to see her in the same restaurant and Maggie was surprised when she had spotted PJ but both relieved because they both could spend the evening with each other (technically). PJ thought Maggie looked beautiful. A lovely dark blue dress and the gold necklace he had given her for Christmas. At that moment as Julie had been trying to talk to PJ, Pj was watching Maagie. Maggie had been playing with the necklace and not looking particularly interested in what Steve was trying to say to her. PJ felt very relieved.
At the end of the nigh, PJ walked Julie out to the retaurant car park and thanked her and turned aroud and got in his car to go and see Maggie who had left 5 minutes earlier. Julie was still in the car park when PJ lest and went over to 3 figures over against the wall of the restaurant. It was dash, Nick and Steve.
JULIE: You were right Nick. There is definitely something going on between the detective and the constable. He couldn't take his eyes off her.
STEVE: And her eyes off him.
DASH: I bet PJ has gone to Maggie's house now.
NICK: Don't worry. I've got Adam sitting in a car outside of her house so we will definitley know for sure!!!
