Blue Heelers - What’s happening this year.....
The Seven network is doing all in its power to ensure Blue Heelers remains Australia’s top-rating drama series.
While Blue Heelers boasts a highly talented cast, the network is aware that quality script-writing is the key to its longevity.
TV Week looks at what’s in store for the characters:
1. Publican Chris Riley: Chris’ intellectually disabled neice has had a baby. When it’s discovered the baby is not receiving adequate care, Chris must find a solution.
2. Constable Adam Cooper: Cooper struggled when ridiculed for supporting a gay friend. Damien also reveals that "a little bit of Adam’s past is also going to come back to haunt him".
3. Constable Dash McKinley: As the year progessses she’ll be struck down with a misterious illness.
4. Sen-Sgt Tom Croydon: Roamnce? There is speculation Tom might pursue an interest in solicitor, Sally Downie.
5. Sen-Constable Maggie Doyle: There will be enormous interest in the direction of her relationship with PJ, following their passionate encounter at the end of ‘97.
6. Sen-Constable Nick Schultz: We meet Nick’s parents and he pursues an interest in Zoe.
7. Sen-Detective PJ Hasham: PJ must sort out his feelings for Maggie and he is promoted, prompting a return to the uniform division.
