Juriaen B. 1716 Ulster Co. New York Died 1761 Montage Township Sussex Co. New Jersey

Line of descent: 1. Juriaen (the immigrant) and Marretje Jansen

2.Nicholas Claes and Zara VanAken

** 3.Juriaen and Catherine Terwillinger.

There son Peter Christened March 2, 1775 at the Dutch Reformed Church, Kingston, New York was kidnapped by Indians around 1756.

When Juriaen made out his will September 9, 1760 he included this son:

"To Peter my eldest son.......................if he lives to come back from his captivity.................if not his share to my other son Joseph................to Sarah.......................when they reached adulthood. There was also a bequest to Abraham, his nephew, son of my brother Peter who was killed by Indians. ( this child Abraham lived with Juriaen and his family after his mother remarried and moved away.)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------It is said that Peter was found, and when he was of age, he did come back, and could speak mostly in Indian dialect, but he went back to the tribe, and to the Indian girl he had married. I presume he collected his horse, saddle and bridle and the money due him. If there are any records regarding his children they would be in the Indian records .
