Possibly Robert Count of Eu who held Ulcombe at Domesday of the Archbishop. "It was assessed at 2 1/2 sulongs TRE and now of 2 sulongs only. There is land for 9 ploughs, in demesnes there are 2 ploughs and 23 villeins with 8 bordars have 7 ploughs. There is a church and 1 mill rendering 4s. and 8 acres/meadow and woodland for 80 pigs.
