From Perry. Married Esther Taber (1670-1749) on 23 Oct 1689. Named Townsman, 8 Oct 1681. Kept a tavern, relics of which are preserved by the Bourne Historical Society. "Early marriages in Newport, RI" [NEHGR, xviii, 241]: Samuel Perry of Sandwich and Mary Tucker of Dartmouth, 9 May 1690. Brownson, NEHGR 115:91. Married Esther Taber of Dartmouth, 23 Oct 1689. It was his cousin, Samuel, who married Mary Tucker. Samuel, husband of Esther, was styled "Jr." to distinguish him from this older kinsman. Samuel Perry Jr. kept a tavern, which building was dismantled by his grandson, Seth; but in 1629 the cellar hole was excavated and several relics were found which are now preserved by the Bourne Historical Society.
