Birch shells sport basswood inner and outer plies for great power and projection. The new Superstar SL Custom 5-Piece Standard Drum Set has a fantastic transparent lacquer finish. The drum kit includes 7mm/7-ply bass drum, 6mm/6-ply toms and snare. Precision-cut double-beveled bearing edges for consistent shell-to-head contact and explosive attack with bright timbre. Tama Drums have zinc die-cast hoops for dynamics, clarity, powerful rim shots, and easy tuning. Also has Star-Cast mounting system for free, natural resonance. The drums in the SL Custom 5 piece kit have newly designed Soundbridge high-tension lugs with minimal shell contact and rubber insulators for maximum shell vibration. High-end claw hooks with rubber spacers -- same as used on the high-end Tama Starclassic drums -- protect wood bass drum hoop. Innovative spurs have lock nuts to prevent rubber feet from loosening.
