The Wobblers
plans by Edward G. Warren
These engines are called wobblers because the cylinder wobbles back and forth with each stroke, covering and uncovering the valve ports. They are a simple engine to make, but these two engines hold special meaning in my life. I made these engines during Christmas 1998 and New Years 1999. Mother was dying of cancer and I had a deadline to complete them. They are a token that she has indeed passed the machinist gene of her father onto me.

Scotty
plans by Elmer Verburg
This engine plan was found in Elmer's Engines which is no longer in publication. The engine uses a Scotch Yoke Drive to rotate the shaft. The valving is cutouts in the crank shaft. The flywheel was made on the Mini-Mill/3 CNC.
