The Wobblers
plans by Edward G. Warren
These engines are called wobblers because the
cylinder wobbles back and forth with each stroke, covering and uncovering
the valve ports. They are a simple engine to make, but these two engines
hold special meaning in my life. I made these engines during Christmas
1998 and New Years 1999. Mother was dying of cancer and I had a deadline
to complete them. They are a token that she has indeed passed the machinist
gene of her father onto me. |
Scotty
plans by Elmer Verburg
This engine plan was found in Elmer's Engines
which is no longer in publication. The engine uses a Scotch Yoke Drive
to rotate the shaft. The valving is cutouts in the crank shaft. The flywheel
was made on the Mini-Mill/3 CNC. |
