Every now and then Yahoo Groups is under maintenance so you may need to try again at a later time. THIS IS THE LAST ISSUE OF THE EDITED, DIGEST VERSION OF THE UIT MAILING LIST! Sincerely, Michael Ray ******************************************************************** would you mind making another annoucement on your mailing list? We're not booked full yet. I finally got reasonable airfare or at least the same as last year, around $950 a head, and since the increased price may be a factor, I think we will go back to the same sort of hotels, so price will be $2195 per person based on double occupancy, Certainly we would welcome folks from other countrys to come as well thanks scott http://www.pilkguns.com Pilkington Competition, LLC Monteagle, Tennessee 931-924-3400 [Editor - FYI. I can't recommend the trip highly enough, especially since they'll be using guest houses rather than "normal" hotels so you are immersed in the culture. For those who missed my earlier report, you can find it here http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/8590/germany/germany_index.htm You don't want to miss this tour!] ******************************************************************** I am looking for some good links for and testing reloads and adjusting them. I have a presentation to do (in Spanish) and am in search of some good diagrams such as velocities and group sizes. I found a few sites, but not many diagrams. If anyone can help me out I'd greatly appreciate it. ******************************************************************** I don't suppose anyone happens to have a Scatt ( 5 or 10m ) system kicking about, or know of anyone selling one ?? .. we'll .. you gotta ask before shelling out for a new one I guess ... -- Robin Szemeti ******************************************************************** It is deductible as a business expense. It is a test instrument. Chet Skinner ******************************************************************** Speaking as an actual IRS agent, it is not "deductible as a business expense." First, the owner must use it in a trade or business. Chet, as a coach certainly meets that requirement. Second, because it has a useful life extending beyond the year in which the expense is incurred, it must be capitalized under Section 263 of the Internal Revenue Code and depreciated. I'm not sure of the period, but items like that are usually 5 or 7 year assets. Richard Ashmore ******************************************************************** Could you suggest where Redfield target scopes can be repaired? ******************************************************************** Shooting Colleagues: The May 2002 edition of Stuff for Sale has been posted to the Washington smallbore web site, for your perusal and entertainment. That location is http://members.aol.com/washsmallbore after which you click on Stuff for Sale. Lots of new stuff on the current list. Happy shopping, John Crossman ******************************************************************** Hi Michael I have a question. In the new 2002 ISSF rules, there is no more the mention of the 15º degrees horizontal adjustment of the Air Rifle butt plate. My question is: in this moment it's not allowed to give horizontal adjustment ( canting ) in the butt plate, or there is no limit?? [Editor - If the same rule that was in the old book is no longer there (they may have renumbered them perhaps?), then there isn't a restriction anymore. You can cant it to any degree I think. If it isn't shown in the air rifle figure anymore you should be able to do it. I thought the 15 degrees wasn't for cant but either into or out of the shoulder pocket. I'm not sure if that made sense but the only issue most people have is the 220 mm to the bottom of the buttplate rule.] ******************************************************************** >Hello Mr. Michael Ray >I need of their help in could choose an appropriate mark in order to make >my Shooting jackets, I have rates of sauer, khurtune, anshutz, gehmann, >which of those you recommend > > >Edward Enrique Nouel Veloz >Systems Development >D'Clase Corporation [Editor - Any of the top brands should do you well. It really comes down to personal preference of style and how much you want to spend. I have heard both good and bad stories of how each of them have been custom fit, regardless of who did the measuring.] ******************************************************************** End of UIT Mailing List #27 Michael Ray - DBA & Systems Engineer Rose-Hulman Inst. of Tech.
