Rapid fire in So. Cal.? ******************************************************************** Hey folks... I told you I would find the golf handicapping info for you (the actual formula and info along with it) it is at this website... USGA HANDICAP FORMULA If any of you want to take the time to study it more and possibly come up with a handicapping system for shooting, all the more power to you! =) If the link above doesn't work (it won't in text-based e-mail clients) copy and paste it into your browser and then go to it. Hope this helps someone out there! ~ Vince Joaquin ******************************************************************** Sorry for the delayed response to the biathlon conversation, I'm only reading the digest. But I'm an amateur biathlete and can attest to how fun the sport it and how demanding. If anyone has young or older shooters who would like to try out the sport or find a biathlon club in their area I'd be happy to get them connected. This is true in the USA or in other countries. There is also a summer variant of the sport which replaces skiing with running, and is much more accessable for people in warm climates. Some basic info you can point them to is at www.biathlete.net I'm also really grateful for this email list, both the openness of the discussion and the gems of wisdom which pass by. I know the conversations here have helped my biathlon shooting and hopefully some things I've been able to pass on. Many of the issues are different in a biathlon environment but many are the same. Thank you. Dave Evans ******************************************************************** I tried a modified biathlon once when I was younger. It involved a 10k RUN with 4 shooting points (basically one every 2km). I have this to say about the experience as a whole... I am glad I am a much better shooter than a runner! I hit every target, amazingly. However my running got the best of me and I ended up in 5th out of 50 or so competitors. I can say this also, it was a LOT of fun. It was awesome adding something new to my shooting repertoire and once I get into better shape I would love to do it again. If you haven't already tried it, you must! You will not regret it that is for certain! ~ Vince Joaquin ******************************************************************** >Subject: Aluminium stocks > >Robert Nibbs has now got his website up and running, at: > >http://www.hps-tr.co.uk/ [Editor - FYI, this is the former S&N company.] ******************************************************************** Hi, I have purchased a BSA IM Mark III that I want to set up for smallbore shooting. Unfortunately the accessory rail and sight blocks do not match the Anschuetz stuff that I have. So I am looking for a bipod, and either a scope or iron sights for this gun. Are there any sources out there that I can be directed to? Thanks, Rich Hume ******************************************************************** Mike,I am a ppc shooter of twenty years ,and am looking at different disciplines to change to. could you send me your newsletter as i am interested in rapid fire,or where i could obtain info on rapid fire matches.I live in southern california about 15 minutes from the Prado ranges where the 84 olympics were held.
