Re: Jacket losing stiffness / need prone help
Shooting better with irons than scope
Pistol matches in northeast US
NOTE: I thought I would pass along that the management of the Tome Lowe
Shooting Grounds (Wolf Creek) has recently changed so we shall see if
this improves things or not.
I have been considering making this more like a "normal"
mailing list for some time where messages you post get sent out in close
to real time and thus so do the responses. However, the automated
listservs I know of cost money so I never went with the idea. I've now
learned of a web-based one that works either through normal email or the
web and best yet, is free.
What I would like to know from the readership is if some of you would prefer getting this in digest form every 1-3 weeks as opposed to real-time. Unfortunately, eGroups does not have that ability. It does archive every message that gets sent out and supposedly there is even a search tool for going through them.
I would still set myself up as moderator for the group so I'd approve all messages to make sure they meet the intent of the list. So it would be pseudo real-time, but pretty close.
So any of you with an opinion, especially against this idea, I'd like to hear from you. Thank you!
I purchased an Armato mat. Seems to be as "cushy" as any I've seen. They advertise in Precision Shooting magazine.

[Editor - never heard of that one. Couldn't find anything about it on the web. What I'm after is a fold-up mat (into fourths) with handles that is no more than 30" wide. I suppose if I was really desparate, I could attach some handles to a roll-up mat, but that wouldn't look as nice. Thune is very close but quite expensive as well.]
Dear Michael, I would like to thank the people who
advised me about my jacket loosing stifness. I would
like to know your opinion about gehmann jackets,
because i think mine lost its prperties very soon.
Also I am trying to improve my positions. I send as
attachement pictures of my prone position for anyone
who wants to help me. Please post them in your page.

Colombia
[Editor - Gehmann jackets aren't the best in the world but they should be decent, probably similar to AHG Anschutz. I wouldn't expect it to be very dry in Colombia, but if it is then that will effect it.
Listers,
I can get much better accuracy out of my iron sights than my scopes. Maybe just not used to something with a large field of view. Has anyone else encountered this difficulty? Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
Satria Santoso
[Editor - I've never shot with a scope but I know of some who don't like seeing that much movement when they are used to "so little" with irons so they tend to jump on the shots. Are you sure it isn't a problem with the scope (eg, you do get good groups from a rest)?]
