After three years as the Canucks' full-time Goaltending Coach, Glen Hanlon becomes an Assistant Coach on Rick Ley's staff this season.

Hanlon retired as a player at the conclusion of the 1990-91 season following 14 years in the NHL with Vancouver, St. Louis, NY Rangers and Detroit.

An original Canuck draft, Hanlon won the Canadian Airlines President's trophy as the team's most valuable player in 1978-79.

Hanlon, who enjoys golfing and fishing, allowed Wayne Gretzky's first NHL goal on Oct. 14, 1979.
