What's wrong with the Canucks? Everything has gone wrong this season for the Canucks. You name it, it has happened. And it isn't very pleasent. The Canuck fan has gone through this frustration and annoyance the whole season. So what can be done to solve the problem? At this point nothing. So who's fault is it?
Tom Renney? That would seem foolish. Many times has Renney stated that he is willing to coach the talent that he has, although he has expressed to Mr. Quinn, the jolly irish man, that he couls use some fresh blood, some new chemistry, Mr. Renney is still willing to coach with what he has, and that's a good sign and a good start, and kudos to Tom Renney for saying so. I wish all coaches were like that. However, Mr. Renney has had his temper tantrum's before, and I'm not sure if it contributes or not. I would think, yes, because the Canucks need to be yelled at, and Renney did so on two occasions. On Dec. 23, a 7-0 loss to Edmonton, Renney went around the dressing room and yelled at each person. He had the same kind of feeling after the Capitals game. But, to the point. Is it Renney's fault. Absolutely not.
Pat Quinn? That depends on how you feel about his role. Should he be expected to make a trade? In my opnion, I don't think so. Quinn's track record proves that he is capable of the job he does, but nowadays, it's hard to make a deal. I don't think a lot of people realize that a) it's hard to make a trade, and b) he is on the phone all day and all night trying to make a trade, trying his best to do something. Quinn is trying his best to help this hockey club. Renney is trying his best to help this hockey club.
The players? Damn straight. These bums make millions of dollars and they expect to be motivated by other sources other than their own. They waste our money. They have either no confidence in their play one night, and then the next night they play like individuals and are way over-confident. It's crazy. I wish we had a team like the Sabres or the Panthers. They work hard because they are having fun. They are having fun because they love the game. With the exception of a few players on this hockey club, all they want is money, and it shows. Oh how it shows!
It's up to them now. We can't do anything. A trade will probably only be a temporary. Renney does night by night whatever he can. It's up to the players now. Go Canucks.
