Lesson Plan
  1. As preparation the class can be asked to prepare three questions to ask in an interview for the following day.
  2. Three or Four class members form an interview panel for a general clerical position.
  3. One class member is the interviewee.
  4. The rest of the class forms a "fish-bowl" and is asked to keep notes on the performance of the interviewee.
  5. Each member of the inetrview panel asks a question in turn (up to five questions).
  6. The interviewee answers the questions in turn.
  7. The process is repeated with a different panel and interviewee as time allows.
  8. The fish-bowl votes on which candidate will be awarded the job.
Notes
Each interview should last about five minutes, so the process can easily fill a single period, or half a period as desired. The lesson can be used together with work on CV's, application forms, and so on.
