Dr. Donald Bloesch was ordained in the Evangelical & Reformed Church and pastored in various churches in the Chicago area for 5 years. He began teaching at the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary in 1957 and continued teaching until 1993.
Since his retirement, he has been a guest lecturer in seminary classes. He has also lectured at other seminaries, pastors conferences and renewal conferences. He is the author of 32 books and over 200 articles and book reviews. He recently completed a 7 volume series in systematic theology entitled Christians Foundations. His wife Brenda, who has her doctoral degree in French Literature, is his research associate and copy editor. He continues to counsel students and is active in the renewal movements in the Presbyterian Church and the United Church of Christ in Zwingle, and preaches various times there every year.
