I, Thorin alias zwerg8_thorin alias ninjadwarf, am an almost 40 years old male from Hessen (Germany), who interested in quite many subjects.
All of these names are only nick-names used by Me in different forums for the last appr. 10 years. - though I had to learn that some folks used these same names at sites I never visited before... I only hope they haven't written anything yet which could be used to blame Me. (grin)
That symbol up there is the sign for Ninjutsu, the Martial Art which I find most fascinating, though there is no connection to the ninjas from the movies. That one nickname of Mine, "ninjadwarf", is because of this fascination.
I am interested in literature, computer (PCs in general und OpenSource in special), philosophy, religion, psychology und parapsychology. Oh - and of course also in the Asian, especially Japanese Martial Arts.
Furthermore I - as "zwerg8_thorin" - let My computers work for some online projects via network computing (like SETI@home and other scientific, even medical research projects). They can handle that, I use so little computing power for myself, and anyhow the ressources should have some use :-)
My family belongs to My private life, and remains as private as My real name so that you can't read about them here either :-)

The few people I call My best friends I've met partly via internet, and partly in real life. But these are so close to Me that I don't want to talk about them here.
One of them though who is also very close to Me can be seen very often in the virtual world of SecondLife. There she is well-known as ~ GEM ~. And she truely is one. :-)
