This Training School plays an important role where railwaymen not only from the Western Railway, but also from other Zonal Railways and even from Foreign countries, come to learn the basic techniques of railway working. The institutionalised training like the one in the Zonal Training School also helps in developing an esprit-de-corps. With 25 years of experience to its credit, the school assumes an added importance in the present day context of ensuring that all the staff concerned with safety of train operations, whether directly or indirectly, are imparted full knowledge of the safety requirements and made to imbibe the spirit of dedication and devotion.
