ZIBSIP Library is also affiliated to the Library Association of Zambia , which is the mother body embracing all libraries in the country. This helps ZIBSIP library to keep abreast with the recent developments in the profession. ZIBSIP library has also entered into Inter library loan arrangements with various libraries in the country.

The Library has embarked on a programme to purchase a substantial number of new and relevant books every semester to add to the existing stock of books. However, in view of the high cost of books coupled with the devaluation of the local currency, this is a rather slow exercise.

Efforts are also being made to source Low Priced books in order to build on the existing Library stock.

The Library is also sourcing book donations in all the above mentioned subject areas.

The Library is currently stocked with one Computer used for creating and updating the database. The Library is in the course of acquiring more equipment and computers to be used by library users for Internet searching purposes.

The Library also has plans to expand to accommodate an internet cafE with computers where students and members of the public can access digital information on the net.

The Library also has plans to install a computerized central locking system in order to ensure the security of the existing library stock against losses.
