-----The Dread Pirate nods at Seth's remark, then says, "I'm thinkin that there's a better way o' liberatin that loot. I don't think we need to wonder too much about who killed that dragon. Fortunately, they aren't too bright. I say we follow 'em and Kazel sneaks into their camp, if'n she's willing and helps herself to the choicest items and treasure. I think the least they can do to repay us fer puttin up with their company is to part with a bit o' dragon loot. We'd best go into hidin fer now though, I'm willin to bet that our former travellin companions will be comin here to make sure everyone knows how great they are."
-----The Dread Pirate is quiet for a moment then continues, "We still need to consider that troublin note about the attack on Silvergard. Maybe we can just turn the note over to Lord Lambert and let him worry about it. We also need to find our buddy Abbar and rearrange his innards."
-----The Dread Pirate also mentions to Seth and Kazel, "We should try to find out where the dragon's lair is, if we can. Its head would make a fine addition to the museum. Not to mention if we can find a skilled blacksmith or armorer, we can have several suits o' dragon hide armor made fer us. Just think about armor as tough as a dragon's scaly hide. We wouldn't ever have to worry about gettin knifed again."
-----Kazel rubs her hands. "Well let's be on our way. Back to the tavern or the hideout? Perhaps Dread, you can teach us the art of burying these chests somewhere wise. In any case, it may not be a good idea to hide out in the city after dark if all these corpses will be out and about."
-----Dread tilts his head to one side, considering the various options, then says, "I think maybe we'd be best served by getting our horses, stealing a wagon outta that warehouse and gettin the hell outta town. Load our loot into it and head back to Hearthorn with all speed. If we hurry we can get back, claim our share of the reward, and with Seth's hat still claim their share of the reward, then we can loot our old friends or ambush 'em as they come back to Hearthorn. I'm sure they'll be takin the main road back, we'll just stake it out and loot 'em at night when they get close to Hearthorn. They'll be feelin safe and secure that close to home. It shouldn't be too difficult to catch 'em all unsuspectin."
-----Dread considers further, "Actually, ye know....with Seth's hat, one of us could disguise ourselves as Lambert's chamberlain and meet their little group on the road to Hearthorn. Then he could claim that the dragon's treasure contained many items and family heirlooms that belonged to the townsfolk hereabouts and that he is there to reclaim them and transport them back here to their rightful owners. I'd be willin to bet that Sol would fall fer that hook, line, and sinker. If Sol went fer it, then ye know Sarah would fall right into line also. And then Raven would grumble and complain, but he'd be outvoted and would go along with it as well. It's a nice, simple, yet devious plan. It'd also get us back to a healer, just in case I am gettin the plague. Maybe I'm not, I feel alright really."
-----"All we need to do is get that wagon, maybe Abbar will be there in the warehouse also, that'd be a nice bonus. We'll load up our booty, find out where the dragon's lair is, take its head and hide, then off fer Hearthorn as fast as we can go. Maybe we can pick up that mummified ogre on the way back also fer the museum. I think we've pretty much done everything we can here. We can leave one of the mercs to grab Marast when he gets here and they can catch up to us on our way back to Hearthorn. What say the two of ye?"
-----Seth smiles. "Sounds good to me. You know we should find out from the soldiers what they know about the dragon slaying. Maybe Marast is with the dragon slayers."
-----Dread nods, "Good idea. They might know where the dragon's body is located. I doubt Marast is back yet, but it wouldn't hurt to check. Alright, if everybody is in agreement, here's what we'll do. Seth can disguise himself and go check on the dragon and Marast with the soldiers. Kazel can go reclaim the horses with her animal control ring and bring 'em to where we left the mercenaries. I'll go and liberate a wagon fer our accumulated loot. There'll probably be a horse or two near the warehouse where the wagons are located. I'll just borrow one or two and hitch 'em up. Then we all meet back at where we left the mercs and get outta town. I'm willin to bet that since we killed the ass-ugly priest down in the sewers the plague might be clearin up on its own. Anyway, without him, the undead might not be risin tonight. But if they are, I say we let the so-called heroes of Hearthorn deal with 'em. I've had enough of undead to last me fer awhile."
-----Seth stops in his tracks as he prepares to go off and see the soldiers. "Did you just say 'Anyway without him the undead might not be rising tonight?'"
-----Seth's eyes go wide and his jaw drops. He states very slowly as he is obviously thinking very, very hard. Not something that the others have seen him do a great deal of. "You know, what if the dragon was undead and it died when the priest died, and the people have attributed this to the 'heroes of Oakwood'. Did we not say we were from Oakwood?"
